if you want your ex to still be in your life in the future, you CANNOT be friends with them right after the breakup. my ex was my best friend so we tried for TWO YEARSSS to stay friends and it was actually torture and so awful that we eventually went no contact and now I never want to speak to her ever again even though I miss being friends with her, solely bc of how bad and toxic it got while we were “friends”. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKEEEE

Yes you can be friends with an EX, I have been friends with my EX for over 8yrs since we split and we make far better friends than lovers. She knows me so well and I know her the same that when we talk about things that are affecting us we have unspoken ability to decifer what each others thought process is and are able to give every inciteful answers to each other, it's the most constructive non romantic relationship that I have ever had in my life and I am 58yrs old and she is 40yrs old.would never trade the journey I have had with her. She is also standing beside me when I marry my finance in 2025❤
