How do you marry someone and not be sure they could take care of your kids in the event something were to happen to you? Like that's a deal breaker for a single parent with underage children.

In all honesty, Ste should have already split up with James after what he did to Lucas last year. James never cared about Ste's children.

James could’ve waited literally one day to talk about the sentencing. No they aren’t babies, they’re hormonal teens who’ve been through hell. Lucas just got out of the hospital from wounds caused by him harming himself and James is so concerned and caring that he made dinner for himself. Yikes.

Ste looks so sad he can't rely on James to look after his children. It's like he's silently screaming why do you not care!! If it was the other way round and Romeo was still around Ste would be there for him to make sure he was alright whatever his age. Parents don't stop being parents because their kids grow up. I don't have any children and even i know that. I can see Ste question why he married James. James only making his own dinner is silly, it would have taken 2 mins to message Ste and say when will you be back, I'll have dinner ready. He's so selfish and thoughtless sometimes. (Sorry that was soo long 😆)

Im sorry, but James is right. They need to know what's comins and that their dad can end in prison for few years. Also, as he said, they are not little babies anymore, but nearly adults so they can take care of themself, and dont need to be permamently babysiting.

they dont need permenantly babysitting no, but they do need someone whose going to be there for them when they need it most, look at what happened to lucas already when he thought he had no one to go to, James either needs to step up or ste will never forgive him if something happens to his children

Even when they're grown up, they need love, care and attention. And for James to say that at a time when Lucas has just been released from hospital because he almost died at the hands of a religious extremist... that's pretty insensitive.

After everything Leah and Lucas has gone through, they need stability, support, and the assurance that someone is there for them no matter what. Someone will put them first. That is what Ste was hoping James would do for them in case he is not around. James will put everything else in front of Ste's kids because he is selfish to the core.
