Ok can someone explain to me how and why exactly Ethan killed his girlfriend. Because the way they are all casually hanging around a murderer makes me think accident that went out of hand rather than pre meditated execution.

She was part of a crime family and she threatened to kill serena(Ethan’s niece ) unless he killed Darren (who witnessed them commit a robbery) and as mia was about to kill serena Ethan wrestled for the gun and it went off and caused her to bleed to death
