Ive been researching this and similar already released products (rite hite, live scanner, dd26 ect) A few things this needs before going to market, 1st It needs a mounting plate for each of the trolling motors out there with the main one being minn kota ultrex. 2nd it needs to sweep automatically (think search mode) while going down the bank or out on a flat ect, 3rd it needs a foot pedal because I have my fishing rod in my hand so too cumbersome to use with a remote but a remote useful in some situations. The foot pedal could be wired or wireless. The last thing is the head unit is pretty big and hopefully could be streamlined.

Great feedback, and I agree with just about all of it. They are releasing a new and updated version here soon that I will be doing a review on, so stay tuned. I know some of those things are implemented.

Great idea. I agree with everyone on the hands free option and I would like to see the arrow on top light up. I do alot of night fishing in the summer time and I get tired of having to turn on my headlamp everytime im trying to see where a brushpile/rockpile is to cast to

Add footpedal control and its Super. Footpedal like cablesteer footpedals are (not two pedals, one left another right!) If you can steer it not rising your foot from pedal its much better. And button for locking. Price is nice.

Awesome. I got a Rite Hite Turret with foot control on my Garmin Force. Love it, but this device has an added feature of allowing to lock the target. Really good idea.

It doesn't know the distance, just the heading

@@AlexTimm That is interesting. In that case it would loose the target as soon as the boat repositions. Maybe it assumes a 60 foot range or so to stay on it.

@@marktigchelaar1975 Its made to lock in one direction so as your boat shifts , the steady scope stays locked on that position. The only way you would lose the target is if you drifted further away from the target and didnt adjust the range on your forward facing sonar.

Had some time on the water with a couple beta versions last year with some feedback to the company to help improve it. The production units are being built now and will be shipping I'm told in the next couple of months. As soon as I get it I will be doing a water test video or two. They have made some awesome improvements to it from the beta users fortunately. It will be a sweet product!

I asked the guy that is the lead on this product and here is what he said: "That’s the data cord between the drive system and the sensing micro. Needs to have enough slack to allow for rotation, limiting the ability to get that movement and wire relief inside the head."

Word of this was out long before anyone heard of the targetlock from HB. They just dont have corporate money to throw at it to get it rushed through development and onto the market. What is it that makes HB so "advanced"?

Yeah, I have no clue what happened, but very dissapointing, and then they went and deleted all videos, pages, everything like it never happened. I've asked a few different people at the company what happened and for further detail (was there a part they couldn't quite get, the tech too hard to figure out, something else?) and no one would tell me anything. It's unfortunate, but they did at least give me my money back so that is nice

Good to know since they were supposed to ship last month. Hopefully my refund has interest attached to it since they had my money for the last 5 months. Seemed like a scam since they go my money they didnt reply to any of my messages ao Facebook. Respect you and your channel but might want to watch what you promote since they screwed a lot of people who waited all summer for the product. They moved back the shipping date and never said anything about scrapping the whole thing. Puss poor on their part.
