@phinehaselohim7111 Why are you eating in some ancestorally narrow way? Just because our ancestors did certain practices, it doesn't mean that they are healthy. I eat lots of different plant foods that my ancestors wouldn't have even seen, and foods they wouldn't be able to eat year round. I also prefer to go off data from blood work to check if my diet is healthy, as well as looking and feeling good. Just being honest, a lot of ex vegans and carnivores I've interacted with seem to have either some weird spiritual thing going on, or some weird limited nutrition thing going on.
@phinehaselohim7111Күн бұрын
@ I honestly believe that I eat a diet specific for my species. To answer your specific question, my grandfather (mother's Dad) ate a diet of almost all plant foods. He died at 63 of diabetes after losing multiple limbs due to amputation. He was 5'6", morbidly obese, and well over 250 lbs when he died. I look almost identical to him. I eat an almost completely animal based diet, the opposite of what my grandfather ate. I am 60 yrs old, 6'1", 200 lbs, and walk around at all times at about 8% body fat. My skin is great, I have a full head of hair that grows like weeds, and I sleep like a baby: I barely workout, try to keep stress low and I sleep 8-9 hrs per night. So someone who are tons of plants and very little animal products was far smaller, fatter, weaker and looked like he was 90 when he died at 63. I am now 3 yrs younger than my grandfather was when he died and I am told I look like I'm in my 40's. Sorry for the longwinded answer, but the above is why I eat what my ancestors ate and not a vegan diet. Thank you for the great sharing of info!
@jhunt557823 сағат бұрын
@phinehaselohim711 I don't think our ancestors did eat a high meat diet. I don't think there's ample evidence for that. Our ancestors ate different diets in different climates, as they had different access to foods, and at different seasons. Hunting wasn't easy, and most hunts failed. Regardless of what our ancestors did. If your diet is working for you then it's working. Though there isn't any long term data on high meat diets. I'd personally worry about cardiovascular health. I'm doing great on a vegan diet and am healthier than I've ever been. Personally, I also wouldn't eat animal foods due to my ethics. When you say your grandfather only ate plants, what kinds of plants was he eating, refined carbohydrates, added sugar? Anecdotes themselves don't form a solid basis of evidence. My grandfather smoked and drank and lived to a ripe old age. There's also ample health outcome data that shows vegans have a low risk of T2 diabetes.

Because that's what the vegan brainwashing does - no way the diet could ever have anything wrong with it, you were clearly not doing it right. No matter how many hoops someone was jumping through, from getting the right macros, the right supplements, doing organic, juicing, high fat, low fat, high carb, etc etc etc. there's always something that the vegans will use to shift the goalposts. She worded it as a threat because we know what's coming - the same thing is done again and again and again. It's an unwinnable argument because the other side will always claim (and believe) that the diet wasn't being done right. No, it's just that the diet isn't right.

Most people struggle with the additional time/thought a vegan diet takes given we don't live in a world that caters to that diet in any way shape or form. She was getting worse though even with the cannabis, she was over weight, could not keep up at all on our dog walks and we thought at the time was literally months away from being forced to use a walker. Long story longer, we went vegan over 3 years ago and in 3 weeks she was PAIN FREE for the first time in 35 years. We believe it was mostly the dairy. 2. I was getting in bad shape myself and didn't know why, when I told the doctor that I went vegan she immediately ordered a B-12 test added to my usual blood test, I had never had a B-12 test in my life and my B-12 was at 64 and I have no idea how long it was that low. And keep in mind I was eating the hell out meat and eggs and lots of foods with B-12 but my body was not transforming it, most likely gene related, intrinsic factor etc. But it had gone on so long at such low levels that was getting nerve damage, I am still dealing with this today in my feet. My last B-12 test I was at 795. So in my case going vegan caused an earlier diagnosis of frankly what should be part of every blood test and possibly averted even further damage. Vegan diet is working well for my wife and I in our mid and late 60s This meat and butter loon sounds to me like she was eating raw veggies and potato chips. and her current diet is probably going to put her in an early grave.

I lost my period and thyroid function on vegan keto last winter, trying to go below 18 BMI to qualify for a bodybuilding competition (low bodyfat), got it back by eating high fruit, high carb, my strength is better on carbs too. Also Neil Barnard has a book on hormones, and says peak fertility is about BMI 20-21, and drops both below and above (where PCOS starts) And the book "secret life of fat" has research about ballerinas, of them 30% or so loose their period, and they concluded that the threshold was 105 lbs or so, around 46 or 48 kg, I forgot, same for the first period - starts at that weight, that's why Americans girls are having earlier periods according to Harvard Public health, due to excess calories About autoimmune and stomach pain - Paul Saladino first wrote "carnivore code" but 2 years ago he added fruit to lower his cortisol, fix his testosterone and thyroid etc but not grain, because he can't digest even rice, my theory is it may have to do with fiber types in dicot plants (round leaves) vs monocot plants (thin grass leaves), that's why potatoes might digest better than grains, and are recommend by the Ray Peat diets (meat+fruit) like thermo-diet. For carnivores having bad reactions to beans and lentils - I hope the ongoing Second Great Domestication (of microorganisms) will invent precision fermentation, which can ferment foods to identical tastes to cheese and meat (I think in Finland they already made fungi fermented vegan albumine) so just hang in there! Meanwhile you can improve your gut microbiome by eating ripe fruit (especially on the "low fodmap" list)

S&B girl sounds like she was accidentally calorie restricting as listening to too many raw vegan influences in the early 2010's. I've seen it first hand with a cyclist who was very strict and only ate perfect unprocessed wholefoods when he went vegan due to his perfection mindset. He had a very active lifestyle, so required more calories than average. But since he was eating only high fibre plant foods with no added fat, and nothing refined like white flour or white rice his daily calories was perhaps only ~1600Cals( at a guess) when he prob required 2500+ He become pale skinny weak and anemic. Lost tonnes of weight and had to give up cycling because he had no energy to train. I told him what he needed to do but he didn't listen,. Luckily he did a nutrition course at Uni the next yr with his degree, the penny dropped, he started eating a well planned vegan diet. He put weight back on, became strong and fit. Had that healthy glow back and was back competing in triathlons again! Yes he did vegan wrong! When he did it right he thrived :)

I was into animal rights and all of that since I was 12. Way before going "food vegan" I was "clothes vegan and book vegan" and so on. When I was 19 I saw a documentary about the dairy industry and I eliminated all dairy products and what do you know? My my acne was gone after one week, I started sleeping better and my iron level went up. I have always been anaemic (some days I could not get out of bed, and it's probably genetic) but without milk, cheese and yogurt my iron went up. My doctor was surprised. I later discovered that iron absorption is limited by dairy product! So if you eat a steak cooked in butter with a creamy sauce, say goodbye to a lot of iron. After that I learned a lot about nutrition, I am 99% vegan in my diet and I am ok. It's been almost 15 years ago, and I do not have osteoporosis. My bones are fine (I got that checked just because everyone is saying you need milk for bone's health, and it is an expensive exam!)

It's not just that plants don't have central nervous systems, but there is no purpose for plants to feel pain. The purpose of pain is to alert the sufferer that something is wrong, and to move away from the source or stop the damage being caused. A plant can't do that. Feeling pain would only be torture for a plant because they would have to endure it and not be able to do anything about it. It doesn't make any sense.

I wished people would know that especially mono cultures for animal foods kill off good bacteria which keep the bad ones in control but animal eaters make sure these fields are treated highly with medications which are the same later, that become effectless for example all Azol's. Yes what is sprayed in the fields against Fungus is Azol, the same Azol given by doctors to people bc it's chemically the SAME. People have so much medication in them through animal foods they can't be treated later since all of them became resistant. A disaster for all hospitals!!!!!!!!!

Your video didn’t mention this, but I think it’s important to highlight that while a vegan diet is often healthier, there are situations where it can actually be less healthy, even on a whole foods plant-based diet. One key factor is access to clean water. Vegans who cook all their own food often use significantly more water than non-vegans who also cook their own meals. If the water source isn’t clean, vegans might end up consuming more toxins, leading to various health problems. I personally experienced this issue, and it took me a long time to figure out what was happening. Many vegans online dismissed my concerns, making me feel like it was all in my head instead of encouraging me to investigate the real cause. It would be helpful if you could address issues like this in your content moreso. Sometimes people give up on a vegan diet because of external factors-like unclean water-rather than because the diet itself is inherently flawed. Additionally, food contamination is another concern, even with some vegan pre-made foods or whole foods. These kinds of challenges can lead people to believe the diet isn’t working for them, when in reality, it’s due to external issues rather than the vegan diet itself (and to clarify, I'm on a vegan diet).

None of these supplements are necessary for a normal omnivore diet-the way humans have eaten for millions of years.

Most animals people eat have been selectively bred by farmers and have little or nothing much to do with their ancestral wild breeds. Using dairy as food is a very recent development in human history (6000 to 8000 yrs ago, whereas Homo Sapiens has been around for 300 000 years).
@phinehaselohim7111Күн бұрын
@ eating the meat of ruminanat animals has been the same for hundreds of thousands of years
@mayhu3282Күн бұрын
@@phinehaselohim7111 I'm afraid you are incorrect. First of all, homo sapiens has only been around for 300 000 years. Then the process of domestication of the animals that are farmed for meat nowadays dates back only to a few thousand years. The breeds of animals farmed for meat do not exist in the wild and are the product of centuries of selective breeding by farmers, so as "unnatural" as the types of plants humans have also been selectively breeding for food.
@phinehaselohim7111Күн бұрын
@ don't be afraid...it's OK I am correct and you made my point for me by repeating what I stated. Meat eating humans of the species Homo Sapien Sapien have existed for hundreds of thousands of years "domestication"? Carnivore means eating animals. Ruminant animals have existed on Earth for many millions of years. And our ancestors have been hunting them and killing them and eating them for hundreds of thousands of years. The meat eaten by all of our ancestors that gave us our dominant height and strength and bigger brains and inteliigence was from naturally occurring and evolving ruminant animals. Putting two cows of the same species together to make a different cow breed is not a lab creation like the watermelon or the banana or the apple that you see in the stores today. In fact, most cows today are far smaller than their wild ancestors. This selective breeding process was done to make them smaller, tamer and easier to manage. On the contrary, plants have been manipulated in the lab by corporate agriculture to make them bigger and sweeter. This causes consumers to crave them more and buy them more. Thus, corporations make incredible profits from plants that are very cheap to grow, need chemical fertilizers to boost crop yields, strip the world of top soil, take away billions of acres of flat usable living space from humans, and destroy the natural environments of indigenous creatures. In addition, the Kellogs and their ilk in the Seventh Day Adventist radical religious movement have fulfilled their spritual agenda by depriving humans of their natural diet which they have subsisted on for hundreds of thousands of years. It was the belief of Ellen G White, the "prophetess" of the Seventh Day Adventists, that eating meat was sinful because it caused people's hormones to be too high and it made them too horny. Therefore, using political power and religious pressure to change the dietary guidelines to focus on plants and eliminating meat would cause people to not sin. Show me the sucressful vegan nation in all of recorded human history.

Assuming that I only use the *most expensive* ingredients I have (dried jumbo lima beans and frozen Brussels sprouts) I barely reach 6 CAD a day. Calculating back, that would allow for 420 g of the *cheapest* meat I can find (ground chicken or turkey). I don't think that this is a fair comparison. I think vegan wins hands down in real life situations.

I buy for two families, my own, whole food plant based vegan, and my disabled mother's and her caregiver, omnivores. Both in the same city. Mine is definitely cheaper and much more varied in comparison to my mother's, per person and per meal, and also around 30% cheaper than my own omnivore diet was three years ago despite the huge inflation levels over here in Europe during this period. I manage very well with 40€ per week for three meals a day plus two snacks, so about 1.14€ per meal or snack. Meals usually comprise one main course, salad and dessert. And part of those 40€ a week go into stocking my pantry and freezer, whereas at my mother's everything I buy for them each week goes into their different meals.

Good to watch this: as usual I admire not just your clear thinking and good presentation of it, but your unflagging energy and dogged persistence in responding to yet another video making the same, and by now old, claims which are so obviously untenable, weak on logic. Bravo. Nice shirt. I wonder if I could wear it... perhaps I could. The black would go with my grey hair. Ha. Not to forget the white daisies. After decades or brown, grey and beige, in my fifties and more so in my sixties I've become adventurous with colours and prints. Quite adventurous. Well, thanks again. Happy 2025. 🎉🌅🌻🌿

Steak and butter gal just made me feel shameful to be Asian somehow lol. The amount of dishonesty... wow

Sorry, but if her idol for raw vegan was Freelee, I'm going to bet steak and butter gal restricted calories to mimic Freelee's figure. Even though Freelee promoted eating 4,000+ calories anyone that did that asked why they were gaining weight.
