Delicious and tender, these thin strips of steak fried up in a seasoned batter along with potatoes fried in a crusty coating.. ready to dip in homemade cream gravy

I have to try these. In the town I live in there was a drive in that had what they called steak sticks. This looks and sounds like it would be very close to what they served. They closed about 20 years ago and so many people here miss them so much. Thank you for this video!

We found your channel recently and I've tried your burrito casserole which my family enjoyed, and then tonight I made this recipe. The only changes I made were that I added some Slap Ya Mama seasoning to the steak before dropping it in the flour mixture, and I added dried chives to the flour mixture which added some extra "crust" to the fries. We all got the 'itis, and we got very full. My toddlers (for the first time ever) said they were "ready for bed" and fell asleep within minutes. My husband really enjoyed the whole meal and said he was very impressed. I didn't make the cream gravy because I had made homemade ketchup and homemade ranch yesterday, but overall it was a huge hit at our house! Thanks for sharing your recipes

I'm still going back to watch some of the videos you did before I found you. These look awesome-and with venison?? Oh yummy! The only thing that surprises me is that you don't replace some of your butter with bacon grease in your gravy. That extra flavor profile would bump it up just a touch...but a mighty tasty touch! I have a couple of small venison steaks in the freezer I HAVE to pull out so I can try this! Around here most people use ranch for dipping but I would like to try gravy once to see how my son likes it. That was pretty common back when I was growing up but I had kind of forgotten it. My husband was a short order cook when our kids were little and it had changed to ranch by then but I think it's time for him to try something different! Besides if he finds it has any bacon flavor to it, he'll have little hesitation! Thanks for the great recipe!

I like to make my French Fries first, then pop them into a 200 degree oven where they stay hot and crispy without getting cold. Then I work on my chicken or beef fingers. While the fingers are frying, I can make my gravy, so everything is hot all at the same time. As an alternative, if you're just making regular homemade fries, cook them just until they start to turn color (par fry), and then set them aside. Then, just a few mins. before you are wanting to serve, pop the fries into hot oil and they will be super fully in the middle, and extra crunchy on the outside.

I just love your name ❤ I have loved you, from the first time, I ever watched you ❤ You are my kind of a friend 😂 I wish I could meet you, in person, or better than that, be your neighbor, I believe we’d hit it off 😂 I apologize, bc I don’t eat any Deer meat, I tried it but I just, couldn’t swallow it, and I love watching, all the Deer 🦌so I know that’s the reason! Anyway…I’m gonna make the, thin strips of steak, with the crispy fries for supper! I’ll try to make the gravy, but I haven’t mastered making, any gravy 😢 which makes me so mad 😡 Thank you, for sharing your recipes, with all of us ❤

Thank you so much for this video. I have always cut cubed steak into fingers, but never thought of cutting them into fries. That will mean more good crunchy crust! I also can’t wait to try the fries coated in flour.
@inthekitchenwithtallifaye47244 ай бұрын
Hope you enjoy!… It’s crazy but the Crusty Fries are a learning process to get them just right… You have to get the flour really gummy and globby on there AND like in this video I really had more oil in my skillet then I should have… you want less of that and you kinda want them touching each other even!… It makes some of’em stick together and create a great texture too… it’s a hit or miss when you first try it but when you finally nail it, you’ll love them!… Anyways… hope it all turns out delicious and thanks for being in the kitchen with me 😊♥️

Hey Tallie Faye I don’t know where Iola Texas is but if I did I would love to be your neighbor. I’m 84 and can’t cook much anymore but you could share with me. Question? Why do you use margarine instead of butter? ❤
@inthekitchenwithtallifaye47242 ай бұрын
I use butter as much as I can but it’s so expensive for all the cooking I do… soooo I have to use margarine in place of it in certain recipes that it doesn’t matter as much… Groceries are outrageous these days!!
