Steak n Shake doesn't mess around. Their menu doesn't have a whole lot of variation, it's definitely not a place to go if you are looking for healthy choices, and like everywhere prices have skyrocketed... but they always hit the spot.

I miss when their burgers were a LOT thicker I swear, it feels like their triple burgers nowadays are thinner than their single or double patty burgers from before 2018 or so And it wasn't COVID that did this, Steak and Shake got bought out just before the lock down hit, and they ruined everything, they turned what was meant to be a sit down place into more of a fast food place like McDonald's Thinner patties, menu was cut down by a TON (I miss their prime burgers man 😢), and in general the quality has just fallen a lot They really feel like a shell of their former selves
