OMG I just raised the egg pudding game so high it’s inconceivably good! Made it with 3 lg eggs (3 yolks, just one white) together with pork bone broth. Turns out thicker and CREAMIER with less whites. WOW! Ate it with soy sauce and a few drops of sesame oil. I also discovered a great tip: smear the bowl with oil prior to adding the eggs -I used bacon grease. It prevents the egg mixture from caking to the sides and being very difficult to clean.

I experimented using the stainless steel bowl but the eggs would rise like a souflee and be runny in the middle but firm on the outside. I tried different temps with the same result. Then I tried a pyrex glass bowl little thicker than the SS but it turned out perfect! Cooked evenly throughout came out like a perfect custard. Thats the way I like it, more firm. This has become my new favorite way to have eggs. Thank you so much SB Gal. P.S. a sprinkle of nutmeg on top is da bomb!

The cooking took longer than you suggested. Upon completion, while still warm, I drizzled some honey over the top. Because it was warm, a little honey spread evenly over all. It was delicious warm but I chilled half of it and it was equally as delicious as a cold pudding. Thank you 🙏

This is my new go to! I am adding a little sesame oil and soy sauce to true end product. It is soooo satisfying!

Thanks for this it's always good to have another way to cook eggs. I'm going for the gourmet egg pudding because I've never had it before and I'm not too sure I'd like the one with water only. I sometimes drop a couple of eggs in boiling bone broth and I like that so I think I can handle the gourmet pudding.

I been seeing this video on my feed since I subscribed, and didn't know what I wanted tonight, already had a rib eye today, so I stopped at a store and found a metal bowl. I regret adding a little salt to the unsalted bone broth. It was really good but I think it would have been better with just the salted butter. THANK YOU!

this recipe doesn’t need bone broth. All we do in ningbo zhejiang province is to whisk eggs, add 1/4th teaspoon salt and water and steam for about 12 minutes. Egg pudding ready.

I made this but chose to use beef broth and spices. I just wanted another way to make eggs since they're a big part of my diet since I raise chickens. I chose not to tag you because it looked terrible! lol but tasted amazing!!
