For all those wondering and cant wait for Grandpa J to respond, he's wearing a SNDD87 on a NATO :) Could you do a video on how to invest as a broke med student/premed? I know you have a video on investing strategy but a strategic breakdown of where/how you spend your finances would be awesome. For example --> I spend 10% of my monthly income on luxury expenses (such as watches, etc). Just a suggestion, thanks!

The biggest takeaway from this, which is something I strive to do each day as well, is to use break time and/or downtime to get something done. Cycling to campus or using a break to get groceries is great because when you actually want to chill out and relax at the end of the day, you've accomplished your non-academic goals for the day and you can actually rest. Super helpful tips, loved this one! (from Dr. Paul)

The best part of the video for me was the last bit about being okay with not following the schedule- we are human, not robots. Sometimes, forcing ourselves to grind and work hard will lead of burnout later on, which infinitely affect productivity so much more than taking it a little easy throughout and taking day offs once in a while. We all have different capacities and if taking a break once a week is important for you, don't sacrifice it for the sake of being more productive
@b100dr4g34 жыл бұрын
Great tips. My favorite tip was how you had planned out every 30 minutes for the next 6 weeks when you were in college. That's some hardcore commitment right there. Time management used to be my greatest flaw, but these videos and online learning really makes it a lot easier.

Thank you for this Kevin! Im a med student with a KZbin channel, as well as working part-time AND doing a weekly commute between two cities to spend time with my girlfriend. Really needed to hear that this kind of livestyle isn't sustainable as I was starting to doubt myself - like "I should be able to do this, why am I feeling burned out".

Glad you’re finding things that work for you. Everyone has different disease types and different medications have varying efficacy. Always speak to your physician for medication recommendations. Asacol did nothing for me, I unfortunately have more severe disease, but I would have been so happy if it did.

Hello I'm a high school graduate from India. I wanna be a doctor in USA. I am well aware of rigour of a medical school then also I wanna become a doctor. But I was discouraged by the fact that there few medical schools that accept international students. I will be doing my pre med from USA so that it'll be easier to apply and be eligible to medical school. So I wanted to know that if the medical schools accepts international students who have done their pre med from us college and have a 4.0 undergraduate GPA , a 522+ MCAT score and some clinical experience in the undergraduate. Please provide me this information that if a international student can do MD from USA.
