About Scrap Mechanic:

fixing the steering is not that hard, I do it to my trucks all the time the 8 wheels in the back give a lot of resistance, I always make the backwheels also steering (few degrees) then I adjust left and right turn individually for the Ackerman principle, and that reduces sliding significally
