Hey everyone! Welcome to the continuation of our Scrap Mechanic co-op survival adventure! In today's episode kAN and I decide we want to build a really big tower...like a REALLLLLY big tower...ALLLLLL the way to the top of the map! Maybe put the breaks on a colour censor and paint some blocks on the pillar so the censor pick it up and engages the breaks on the excact right time, so u dont have to guess when to break

quality of life improvements for next time. just use a 1x1 pillar and then use a vacuum pump. a sensor and a nand gate. then it can build itself as it go up.

A space elevators center of mass would have to be above geostationary orbit, about 35 Thousand kilometers out, and the counterweight would have to go somewhere around 144000 kilometers. About halfway to the moon. Also no known material is even theoretically strong enough for the task. Our planet is too big and heavy, but we could built one on the moon or mars with current materials, but in those cases there's not as much atmosphere to worry about either, so a catapult would probably make more sense.

you can just take a slice out half the pillar, fill it in, then cut out the other side, fill that in. you don't have to rebuild the whole thing

With a color-coded sensor and a line of paint on the tower, you can tell the controller when to brake just before touching down.

You guys chould make the elevator a little more fancy with lights and stuff that lands inside of a fancy little apartment at the top of the tower. You could have some custom bedrooms or something up there. Maybe a viewing platform or something.

One day I really need to understand the alternating materials mechanic. For my bases, I built a sort of a cannon for transporting between them - think a 2x2 seat, a thruster, and a suspension glitch. Drop it into a tube, use controllers to point the tube, light off the thruster and land at another base with a similar launcher tube...

Challenge for you: trap a tapebot inside a warehouse and bring it out and try to keep him as pet at your base. I know the guard tapebots outside despawn, but no-one have tried to transport away an inside-dwelling tapebot. And they dont respawn, so maybe they arent coded to despawn outside the warehouse area?

I would implement a simple hook system at the top that can swing into place from a barring and catch the elevator to lock it in at the top so it is not sliding back down.

In the real world the elevator would be slower in the fall, it has a lot of surface area, which means a lot of air resistance, and it has attrition with the wall. But it wouldn't be that different so fastly.

Well, time to chop some trees ^^ Maybe you go for the forest at the farmers beach. I'd say build a base at the top where you can have wocs and lock the elevator in. There would be nothing more satisfying than wocs in the sky xD Also you might get a mining song for blasting rocks and drilling them 🤔

You know... after you build the full tower with wood... instead of deleting the whole thing and building new... you could have just removed some parts and replaced them with other blocks... would had the same effekt with much less work or not?

You should build a big vehicle that will cut at process trees without having to get out of the seat, you drive to a tree, press a button, and the tree gets grabbed by a big arm or something, then cut down, and the big arm moves the tree to a sawblade pit or something with a bunch of resource collectors and then a bunch of refinebots, So basically you have to do nothing to remove and harvest tree

For future projects to avoid the glitchiness of large objects you can paint a ring around your pole, the game treats different colours as entirely separate materials whitch gives the same effect as using a second material like bubble block

from my experience the world height is 1040 metres from bottom of ocean using a beacon as a marker so about 4000-4500 blocks in total I think not sure on the exact conversion of a metre to blocks
