Stealing Achievements from Another Server - Getting Every Achievement in FFXIV #03

This week in Final Fantasy XIV we're out to snag several achievements that I've been neglecting. Fortunately, since Square Enix added a new NA data center in Endwalker, there are plenty of dead servers to steal hunt marks from!

9:32 I’m gonna use Mutamix Bubblypots to go through the explanation of gobbie names. Goblin names are usually consistent of 3 parts. Given name, suffix, and their last name. The given names are usually something in the Goblins tongue, a language we as players know nothing about. For Mutamix, this would be the “Muta” section of it. The suffix, (which isn’t always present) is indicative of gender. “ix” for male, and “ox” for female. Since Mutamix ends in “ix” we know Mutamix is a guy. The last name is usually a mash of words in common Eorzean tongue that typically 1) follows an “adjective noun” format and 2) is descriptive of the Goblin. Since Mutamix’s last name is Bubblypots, that tells us he’s an alchemist.

To follow up w bit on the explanation, when goblins speak in the common tongue they very rarely use the proper words for things. "Lustyeye" means to covet, "ear catch" is to hear, "busydeal" means to do business, "endmake" means to kill or murder. If you listen to Metal the lyrics are written as though it's a goblin talking to get some more ideas of how they talk.

The given names also sometimes have meaning. "Muta" has a lot of related words meaning to change, such as mutate or mutagen. Mix, of course, is a verb. So he mixes things with his bubblypots to change them.

Just discovered there's a title for 10,000 fates, BLU is gonna be getting some mileage for SURE. Also, do you have any plans on building a CWLS or Static? I'm sure myself and others would have no problem assisting with some of the grinds to help get you some of the achievements. Been on the achievement grind for the last 2 years as well, sitting on 17.3k pts. Get's a bit slow when you get to the 10k qty ones. Dreading the RNG PvP wins for frontline. Since your last video, I have killed my 200000th monster, completed my 100th guildhest, crafted the skysung alembic for ALC, killed my 500th A mark, reached level 90 on DRG, obtained my final Bozjan Southern Front field note, reached level 70 on AST and obtained the achievement for getting all disciple of magic jobs to 70. I have entered the top 100 in my server (Adamantoise) for achievement points this week as a result, currently sitting at #93. From an achievement hunter to another, I salute you.

Alternately: save 3000 Centurio Seals, turn them in for 6 of the Clan Mark Logs (at 500 apiece) in Foundation, then travel to Idyllshire and buy the Wyvern Horn for the ugliest dragon mount in the game.

You can exchange 500 Centurio seals for a Clan mark log via Ardolain in the Forgotten knight, you can then turn in 6 of those to Bertana in Idyllshire (Uncanny Knicknaks) for the Wyvern mount. Plus theres also SB logs too, such as bardings for Veteran Clan Logs and emotes for Mythic Clan logs, again these logs also cost 500 Centurio seals each and you need multiple logs to buy them.

Friend of mine has Ultimate Thrillseeker (for 5,000 S Ranks) twice over. If you ever decide you want to go for it, it's best to focus on it hard during expansion launch cause all of the new areas have multiple instances and people are hard focusing the hunt for the new achievements that come with them and early expac gearing

a ranks are fun because i smacked one for fun in il mheg thinking (and not remembering) that they were as easy as the 'elite' marks you get on the 'go kill this mini boss' bill and it hit me for half my hp on an auto. hunting is fun but it's definitely more doable and more fun in parties 😅 once again, a great job on an enjoyable video! the intro especially was very fun, i love seeing charity dressed up to play various parts lmao

I have a Free Trial Character in Dynamis. You can't use the Party Finder, you can't hop servers, and you can't even use /tell to organize anything. I was queueing for Crystal Tower for 1-2 hours a day for 3 weeks until I just started begging people in plaza in Limsa. 18 randos ran all three raids, unsynced in a total of 20 minutes. Wish I had just asked sooner.

It just reminds me that for a lot of these, you need to chip away at it a little at a time, and that's alright because progress is good. Last week I did a bunch of Hunt achievements and had the same thing happen. So many I found within minutes, but some were literally in the last place there was to look. Since the last video I managed to get a special Fate achievement (Ixion) and *drumroll* I COMPLETED my first ARR relic weapon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😭

Oh man, The Hunt is a massive pain! I've only done the "each A rank once" achievements myself, and dread working on S ranks and ESPECIALLY dread that Centurio Tiger and the other hunt mounts... Also yeah Mahisha is wildly more nasty to solo than anyone else in the A ranks. Apparently the Hex chance depends on distance so you can avoid getting turned into a pig if you run REALLY far away, but it's still really wonky. When I ran across him for my achievement I had to have a buddy help out so we'd have more leeway in case someone got pigged and devoured. Since you showed your weekly jumbo cactpot, here's a big recommendation for you when it comes to the cactpot achievements, including the final one you'll need for the High Roller title - any MGP buff applies to the payout from the cactpots, and this increased payout fully applies for your achievement progress! The two most common ways I know of are using Gold Saucer VIP Cards (I got a bunch from my Grand Company's Adventurer Squadron missions), or if you're in an FC you can turn on a buff that does the same thing as the VIP card. If you activate either of those you can get an extra 15% MGP, on top of the Early Bird bonus you get from being there within 1 hour after the cactpot results are announced. It's still gonna take forever (took me about 2 years because my luck is bad) but trust me that buff is a godsend!

The FC buff that grants 15% is one that requires company workshop crafting and aetherial wheel charging. Jackpot III, it's called. When enabled, it lasts for a full 24 hours for all members of a Free Company. It's super great! But! If you can't swing that, and don't have any personal VIP cards, the next best thing is the Jackpot II FC buff (10% bonus) which can be bought with your free company's company credits in the Grand Company lobby with which the free company is affiliated. This DOES require permission to spend credits and activate actions.

Haha, I play on Dynamis (Maduin specifically), and yeah it seems like the only time we get Travelers is when someone wants to minimize competition for certain content, like the large amount of people who came flooding in to try and get solo Fall Guys runs. At the rate our data center is filling up, I wouldn't be surprised if Sqaure-Enix bumped us up to "Road to 90" even though we've had Road to 80 activated *to this day* since the data center first went up.

just because the server is less populated doesn't mean that no one will notice. there is a group dedicated toward hunt on dynamis. a ranks stormblood-endwalker people reserve for a rank trains, while nothing is stopping anyone from getting a ranks, its not advised to encourage others to come to dynamis just to take a ranks because you think no one will notice

I have to give credit where credit is due. My friends and I were grinding the bojza relic - the one-time step. We were grinding skirmishes in z3 - but primal was super populated, so the person who needed the stuff for the second one-time step kept getting silver on every skirmish. So I decided to say we should go to the barren wasteland that is probably dynamis. And wouldn't you know it, there was exactly 3 other people there - not grinding z3. We cleared like.... 25 skirmishes extremely quickly because it wasn't long until it was just the 3 of us. A giga chad came in and tried a dual but sadly perished in the process. 1 free revive towards my achievement

You can, if you want, use Centurio Seals to get some emotes. There are two you can get from buying some books for Centurio Seals. They are Mythic Clan Mark Log and Veteran's Clan Mark. I cannot remember the number of books (I think it's 5 or 6) and you can exchange them in Rhalgar's Reach for emotes. The books are about 500 seals a pop.

OH for anyone interested in the achievement hell grind, in relation to retainers, sending them out for materials that drop from low level ARR monsters is huge for the "Craft 1000/2000/3000 level x1-x0 items as this crafter" achievements which gives some sick titles like "Of The Golden Needle, Of The Golden Hide" etc. Raptor skins are one of the better ones for leatherworker and it isn't easy to farm, nor is it tied to an achievement like the gathering versions. There are a few others but that is the only one that comes to mind, but you need legit THOUSANDS of those skins for the 3k crafting achievements

You can sometimes get to parts of Coerthas West by going east from Tailfeather or north from Ok Zundu. Similarly northeast Sea of Clouds you can port to Azys Lla and west Ruby Sea can be faster from Namai

I was always a bigger fan of the goblin Ratfinx Twinkledinks, myself (Alexander - The Fist of the Son). Although, you best not underestimate Lamebrix Strikebocks (Alexander - The Breath of the Creator), as he has the unmitigated gall to somehow "survive" our encounter with him, and turn up as a Notorious Monster In Eureka Pyros. XD Goblin nonsense aside, there are plenty of nice things you can do with all that hunt currency you're getting. There are exclusive minions, orchestrion rolls, chocobo barding, and even emotes that you can buy with them, as well as a mount, the Wyvern. You'll need to look into getting the "Mark Logs" for some of those. All of that aside, once you get all the nice goodies that you want, my favourite go-to for spending Allied Seals and Centurio Seals has got to be the Aetherite Tickets. Good ol' free teleports. Haven't paid for a single one in several years at this point. Which is really handy when you end up teleporting all over creation for whatever strikes your fancy. ;)

Lets GOOOOOO We love Hunts (im we) Like 170 away from 5k S Ranks and 750 for 10k A Ranks. Primal hunts are really freakin neat and we have morals compared to Crystal and Aether where we actually wait and will try to reset S Ranks if things are early pulled. Met so many neat people doing hunts and stuff is always active and informative. If you see a Moga Bylestir, that is me and I apologize for all the weird shit we say and do on Primal. Lamp, Farlemald, cursed stuff, etc.

Little note: they powered up A ranks in stormblood so they survive a little longer during trains. That’s why they take awhile.

i always do my weekly hunt boards at each major city, i only do the elite hunts so im only looking for 5 dudes once a week. you gotta kill 1000 B ranks total eventually, and doin it this way gets you 25k gil every week and infinite free teleports. youll find some A ranks along the way, youll make a mental note of spawn locations and you can swing by and check em any time youre in the area doin anything for an extra hunt kill. no reason to grind out 1000 kills in a week when you already know leve quests are gonna take 7 years.

for reference, on a weekend afternoon, roulettes are DPS preferred, because that's what the server defaults to when no one is in queue. tank/healer queues can't save you

My most painful achievement grind has probably been the mentor mount. I feel it has been my truest test of discipline in this game. This was earned just before EW released, acquiring much knowledge and experience in the process. (Gil, too, for always queuing as the role in need) In addition to the mount, such pearl drops of wisdom are symbolic to my attained Sagehood.

Actually has been a pretty productive week for me. Got armorer to 70 and that was the last crafter I needed for the omni-crafter 70 achievement. Also got the achievement for 200 CC matches played and I cleared UWU just yesterday, so I've had a pretty good run!

There are mount achievements for Shadowbringer and End Walker that require you to kill 2000 As and 1000 Ss (I think). Might consider doing some Shb hunt trains to get the As before the next expansion? Sort of anticipating the Shb trains will not be running as often come next expansion. But it's up to you.
