I've played guitar since I was thirteen and have taught it in college for 22 years - and my view is that this man reveals more in one lesson in an accessible way than almost anyone I've ever heard.

Dude, god bless your patience. This video is basically a full Master Class on how to improvise over a chord progression. I followed along step by step because this is one of my favorite EC tunes. I can honestly say that my guitar playing has improved, and I think I understand chords and scales a bit better.

Another great lesson Stitch! Your ability to break down concepts and ideas into understandable lessons is amazing. Please...please keep forgetting to turn up your volume and hitting your hand on the body of the guitar and saying things like...Really? when you make a mistake. It's so genuine... and so Stichey..I love it. And it makes you...YOU!

First time commenter here, Been lurking around for a while now watching your videos and just wanted to stop by and thank you because you have really helped me improve my guitar playing a tonne. I was stuck in a rut and not going anywhere, and your videos are the only ones, and i must have watched hundreds on the net so far, your videos are the only ones that actually make any sense to me. I have just bought a few of your downloads from some videos to help support you and give a little something back. These "Stealing and Simplifying" Videos are AMAZING! And would love it if you could continue on with these as i learnt so much from these alone.

Hey Ian. I want to thank you for being such a great guy and a great teacher. A few months after we spoke I was nearly homeless. I had to sell everything but my bed and my clothes, so my guitars and all of my gear was one of the first things to go. I look forward to every video because you inspire me to keep trying in guitar and life. Thankfully I am in a spot now where I can begin to rebuild. I'm going to get a cheap guitar and a little amp so I can play along with you again. Debating on a beginner pack or a cheap used guitar and get the rest over time. Anyway, thank you for everything you do.
