Issue with minecraft fans is minecraft. Game is too sandboxy so most servers switches to hunger games and stuff from basic free survival. Now they try to bring in NFTs like they did with Shops because there is a profit to be made. A decend dedicated server for minecraft only cost so much but when you sell like 4 packages 29.99€ a month you can easly afford it and most servers with such hardware have 100s players and most are donators. They then try to get them into NFTs like "you do not need name tags anymore, all items are NFT now and you become rich" but you wont, only they become rich. That is why Notch wanted to add Eula, because ppl used minecraft as a way to generate profit.

@@SioxerNikita Why would that be iffy? We run on volunteers only. You contribute and you receive, that is the way it goes. Our cost is covered by member fees for reserved slot and team switch privilege. Mdoeration and leadership is voluntary to the person but required for partner clans. We only grant permissions for responsibilities. This is the same for all other projects too, we do not make money but we run damn good servers and we want to deliver what the community does deserve. IT is "loan" enough to know that you run the thing and there are random people asking for you since you left a mark on the community :) But it is not like you dont get nothing from doing that either, i gained lot of experience in contributing to our project, even put it in my CV, same for the other IT guys in our community. It is a great portfolio starter. Thing also is, you cant just take money for your server. There are a lot of legal considerations to be made and doing so will effectively require you to run it like a company with all the associated requirements. Our design on the other hand does allow us to run as a club (Verein) and receive state funding and take donations to a certein degree lol.
