sorry but it's a no about me stealth camping on public roundabout or supermarket car parks.
ADVENTURE FOODS

stealth camping is all about keeping out of the way not seen or heard.
we do call stealth camping going off grid,
stealth camping on roundabout is very dangerous and unsafe, it only takes one car to hit the roundabout wrong then you can be in trouble or even more dead.
stealth camping in tesco, Morrisons, asda or sainsburys car park is not dangerous but you will not get away with it was supermarkets have cctv and you will only be move on.
stealth camping in the UK or more about urban locations or wild woodland camping.

I love these videos! Being in the US , It’s almost like a trip abroad without the dreaded travel! Me Mum wants to go with me to the UK again, and I’m soaking in all of the British term’s for things so I don’t look like a a typical Yank. I’m so inspired I’m getting out my bivi . mat and bag for a porch camp!

I enjoy the van stealth camping videos. Everyone enjoys different things so if they want to camp on a roundabout just let them. There is a market for it as you can see by the views. Each to their own in my opinion. Whilst some might not like roundabouts or more urban type camps, for others I'm guessing it's the thrill of being close to civilization and remaining undetected. I do get that. For others it's about being close to nature and getting away from civilisation, whilst also keeping a low profile and out of the way of people. I'm the latter personally and I love your videos Dan, but equally I do enjoy watching videos of these campers who camp in unusual places too. Enjoyed the video mate. Good spot and thought the setup worked well here. You've got some cracking places near you for camps 👍

Oh gods, your zoo comment has just reminded me of my venture scout days. We were doing the night activity challenge thing one year, and it was in the countryside close to port lymme wildlife park. So yeah, we missed a footpath off to the left, and continued walking on, through a gate. Figured we were wrong so sat down, got a brew on and set too looking at the map. We had gone through a gate into the park, a fact we realised when the animals in the field weren't horses, but in fact zebras. 🤣

Stealth camping is all about using your head and doing a bit of planning. I have done a roundabout, derelict church and the grounds of a private school. Its all about the planning. As for the roundabout one, I planned it for 2 months looking for the right one, big but in a 30mph zone for safety. Its not for everyone but I like to push the limits sometimes. Supermarket is something that I have not done, but I will not say it will not happen. Regards JB.

Finding a new place is great, and not knowing much about it is more of an adventure. One time I wanted to be stealthy there wasn't much option, and I ended up camping right next to a hikers' path - I think it was the Trans-Pennine trail, and a hiker walked past almost immediately. While I was in my tent I could hear children talking about my campsite, and their parents trying to lead them away. No, people generally don't go calling the police if they see you.

I subscribe to Offcamping's channel as well as English Woodman's, Paul Messners and lots of others. I personally wouldn't camp on a roundabout. However, I do enjoy watching Offcamping's videos because they are different. He seems happy doing his stuff and that's all that matters. If you enjoy it, do it !!

@@englishwoodsman I don't blame you. Must get tiresome sometimes. Anyway, keep doing what you're doing, we enjoy it! Thank you.

I've never tried an inflatable mat. I figure that they're like dry-suits ... they've gotta work 100%, or they don't work at all. The old foam mat can tolerate a few cuts and holes, while retaining its utility. The air-mats do look comfy, tho.

How does one get to go stealth camping with you? Looks like it would be loads of fun

I can't sleep that close to water, like rain on a tent, nice at first, annoying after about half an hour, plus makes me need to pee

Can't say I'd go camping in car park or roundabout but sort of understand if you live in a concrete jungle and struggle to get further afield got to make the most of what you have to hand anyway how did you like the new mat? Is it something I need to stick in my Amazon basket

I'm not into camping on roundabouts or supermarkets either. Do a stealth camp in Go Outdoors you'll only have to bring your dinner, haha 😉

Dan I agree the amount of people I know who have accidentally gone straight over a roundabout, it’s so dangerous

tbh you'd have to be pissed out your brains or just a shit driver in general to drive straight over a roundabout

Supermarket and roundabout not to sure about that. Just call it lazy camping Maybe roundabout in a abandoned town yh but how many of them are there. Waste of time it would be. I love the trees, grass and sound of the birds. Especially when you get up in the morning in a real nice spot away from everyone and all you see is green no cars or tescos. But that feeling when you know your alone but still feel somebody's is watching.
