I never expected how many would appreciate my scenarios. I thought it was funny that UAD had Austria-Hungary as a playable faction. As a lover of Hoi4 and A-H there I figured I ought to represent the underdog. Tell a story of how landlocked nations could suddenly develop one of the best Navies in the world. And give stealth a challenge playing with a nation with underdeveloped designs in UAD. After writing 8 scenarios I'm still awestruck by how popular these battles are. Not bad for a guy from a landlocked desert state in the US?

This was a traditional naval victory force the enemy to condeed the field likely will add a battle near gilbralter against what's left but at that point its a clean up rematch

Congratulations Admiral! Once more you have shown the greatness of Austro-Hungarian technology and Tactics. The Miklós Horthy preformed amazingly! While many may call it a wannabe Bismarck i believe we have proved today that it is an amazing beautiful Modern Battleship. While the loss of 4 DD is unfortunate the trade is more then worth it. While some of the French fleet will regroup with the French Atlantic fleet we have devastated the enemy today. many of their ships will have to flee to Mediterranean ports where they will be blockaded by our Italian allies never to be a threat again. also tell Horthy the Emperor says Hi

Now we need to take the Horthy and use it to break out of the Mediterranean with the newly completed Franz Joseph Class Battleship. The French Atlantic fleet will put up stiff resistance, but it will be worth it.

Habsburg Class? Now we're talking. A supersized Horthy could tip the scales, and possibly even make us capable of taking on the Royal Navy Mediterranean Fleet. For all honesty though, with the losses the Austro-Hungarian fleet have suffered, we need to rush a few cruisers into service to make up for the losses.

While 4 destroyers is a light loss for Austria-Hungary, the French Atlantic fleet poses an extreme threat to us, and our small taskforce with the Horthy will not be capable of taking them on. We need new vessels to support the fleet, before our lucky streak ends. This is why I've proposed we rush 2 or 3 cruisers into active service ASAP, we can even skip sea trials if needed. Just anything at all to cover the few losses we've taken.

I'm not sure if this helps, but in the case of "actual thickness" I think of it as the blunt thickness of the armor, not regarding quality or relativity. So, a 60mm plate angled at 40° has an actual thickness of 60mm, but the relative thickness depends on the quality and angle of strike. Hope this helps.

I would say that yes, it's a tactical and strategic victory. A portion of the opposing fleet declined battle, and those that did were destroyed. Two out of three BCs sunk, and with ease by your singleton, and with your fleet effectively undamaged means that without substantial reinforcement, that enemy fleet is no longer a threat, as you can simply picket thier harbor and wait them out. I realize it's not a thing in this game, but morale matters, ESPECIALLY with the French... I know the French still have thier Atlantic Fleet, and they could still do bad things, depending on what they have, but I would argue the Med fleet is a non issue, even if they join up.
