can't believe it took until Ghilliemaster pointing it out at 48:18 for Brough to finally after 15 Gfred Survivals climb that very gentle slope like 5 steps to the right. I don't know the exact amount of times, but its been way to many times Brough has tried to climb up the basically vertical wall at 48:07 to "sneak" onto the island.

@@beastabuelos6421 Brilliant. I like your idea more than the one you replied to. Maybe this would make it slightly more difficult to kill those attempting the final checkpoint, which has seemingly been much too difficult to capture. The balance has been too much in favor of those in jets.

For it being his nemeses, don't know why he chose to get into the no roof Carbonizarre when he had another car with a roof right there nearby. 1 jet crash anywhere near an open roof car ALWAYS means instant death.

I would say adding the checkpoints which give you a new orange car and invulnerability for about 10 seconds before they can hit you would give you a fairer chance as then you're not getting bombed at each checkpoint and can get away for a little while.

A change to the Player Lives tooltip in the bottom right corner that might help things, is to show both runner's remaining lives for each runner.

they appear on the minimap via line of sight, but the planes are in a voice call together so one of them could've said Brough's camping there

I think a winning strat would be to have one person go to the top of Chilliad from the start & the other take the risk of getting the quarry & LSA checkpoints. Theres more building cover in the city so that offers a degree of protection. Bridges/tunnels help. Should that player get both quarry & LSA checkpoints, it will put the chasers on an immediate backfoot wondering who they should chase

It's pretty obvious that being on a motorbike or open roof car is only marginally better than being on foot in this game. None of those 3 options provides any protection from nearby jet explosions.

the ratio is 9 planes per 1 runner, so 3 runners would mean 27 planes in total

Very fun to watch. However a bit pathetic by the planes, to always pat themselves on the back after winning, even though it's so easy for them to win. Wouldn't it be possible to have the lifes of the runners shared? That would make it a lot better, as both runners could be alive until game over, making it more fun.

Game 2 was chalked. I had no death/checkpoint notifications all game, and the communication wasn't good enough. So right at the end I dove into the ocean to try to spot you, as nobody bothered to mention almost everyone had died. If I had notifications, or communication was better, I would've just aimed at you and likely got you :(

@@rafalst if you had the same safe zone on finishing island as you would on chiliad, runners can just swim underwater until the safe zone, and get a super safe entry to the island -- the planes will still circle the island but will have no chance to react to anything, effectively the job would've been over as soon as you get underwater

Because without the zone, it just seems unfair, unless you are extemelly lucky or you can somehow make every plane crash on their own, its almost impossible to get in the island, especially due very few entry points. Thinking here, can armor protect you from crash/explosions? Because if it can, maybe that could be a way to mitigate the instant deaths

@@rafalst i think its fine, the whole point is to make the last bit very challenging--it's also a challenge against the planes because they respawn far away, they need to not waste their attack. plus any safe zone wouldn't change anything, the planes will still hover around the final island overall imo the balance of gfred survival is fine, out of the 13 rounds of Gfred Survival I've edited, 10 of them have gotten past the Observatory (and around 7 lost/won at the island) -- the final CP has always been a challenge and changing it in any way would just make it too one-sided either in the runners' favour or the planes'
