So how much is fake? I assume the game is just a slightly modified release 1.4, unless it was just video editing and it's unmodified? I've seen a video of this Steam before and it didn't look as good as this. Did you get this version working "properly" or is it just more video editing? And finally is the Tracker real or not? If not, is it a functional remake or movie magic again?

@cannedbeverage7687 It is a mix between a emulator and video edit. The tracker is just movie magic. The CS 1.4 version is a modified retail CS 1.4 version

To think that 256Kbps or higher was a thing in that time, I didn't get anything faster than 56.6Kbps dial-up until 2010. Trying to do online gaming in that time period with that kind of internet was rough.

I didn't knew about it being bounded with CS 1.4 Beta, I clearly remember having one Steam Beta that ran together with CS 1.5 but the stable release (in which demanded me to create another Steam account which was my lost Steam account) I don't remember exactly but I believe it was around the end of Q3 2023.

I registered my Steam account in 2006. Since CS 1.5 and the WON servers went down, I had played a lot with POD-BOT because I didn’t know about Steam back then. I still wish I could go back and sign up for Steam in 2003 if I had known about it earlier to get the 2003 Service Medal. xd Though the medal doesn’t really matter anyway, I just want it haha 😂😂

How did you manage du run those old software? Also register an account? Thought all the servers/interfaces are long gone? I was part of a public beta test of steam. I can remember. Still have to printed out html-gibberish emails from that time. However, the email account is lost and so my account data. Not sure if you are still able to use those login data anyway.
