To get an interior car cleaning like this you'll pay $300 or more but as you'll see from this and other videos the steam cleaner can do a lot! It's a multi-function steam cleaner that disinfects so many surfaces -- including the car seat!
Steam cleaning leather seats is best done with a higher quality steam cleaner so there's more steam and less water (which can damage leather). Do a test and do not concentrate the steam on one place for too long.

This is an interesting video ! I have never tried to steam cleaned a car ! I went to Wal-Mart on line and here'swhat I found : The steam cleaner used in the video looks like the COSTWAY MULTIFUNCTION PORTABLE HOUSEHOLD STEAM CLEANER WITH ATTACHMENTS ( red and black in color ) marked down from $56.99 to $35.99 . There is also a DIRT DEVIL HAND HELD STEAMER FOR $35.00 .

Not every parts of the interior should be steamed. I wouldn’t steam leather and roof liner. Heat from steamer could damage the protection coating of leather and in worse case it will remove the colour coating on leather which becomes a nightmare. Roof lining Behind that piece of beautiful cloth is a mixture of foam and glue. Steaming it will soften the glue and with weather(heat and cold) it’ll break down a lot sooner and that’s when it starts dropping as if there’s a puddle of water hanging off the roof.

It all comes down to discretion... Don't hold the steamer in one place, keep it moving. Heat areas with staining or stuck on gunk and wipe the heated area... Do this ubtil stain is gone. Steaming was made for these jobs and won't hurt leather at all, protecting the leather after cleaning is recommended. 303 ptotectant, Gyeon leather coating. For headliners, just steam in a sweeping motion and wipe you a satisfied with the results. Been detailing as a business since'94 in Houston, Tx and steaming is an integral part of my biz for interiors. You ladies did a fantastic job.👍

It's a cool tips and tricks video for people that don't want to pay an arm and a leg to have it detailed but as a detailed I would never steam clean leather. You should be using leather cleaner, conditioner and protectant for it. The heat will damage it if used consistently.

Be careful. I tried this in my car but it was vinyl instead of leather. It basically melted the vinyl and just fell apart.

Yes even with fabric you can't get it too close or it can melt or burn.

Test first and use a bonnet or microfiber cloth over the attachment (the triangle tool). You just have to be careful not to get the tip too close to the cloth because it can burn it.

No judgement at all. I cannot tell you how many times my son (21 yo now) spilled milk in the car, which would roll underneath the seats and spoil. It was the nastiest odor and would take forever to get out . I would boil water and continuously drench and vacuum the areas repeatedly in attempts to rid the stench. Yuck.

Wouldn't show the average person steam cleaning the inside "roof" of a vehicle because the moisture and heat of it can destroy the glue that's holding the material causing it to separate & come apart. If you haven't used a steam cleaner and go crazy with it or haven't detailed a vehicle before, you can ruin parts of the car. There are other methods of cleaning it.

There seems to be a debate about using steam but I have with no problems for years. I don't use it inside speakers or electronic parts. Don't get the steam too close to the fabric or leather. I've seen many detailers use them but I can see that there's some risk too. Thanks for your input.

You just ruined your headliner. Hey it will start sagging. You do not know how to use a steam cleaner in a car. Not being rude but I'm a professional detailer and I can tell you don't know what your doing. Lots of things your doing in the vehicle can and will damage the delicate materials in there. You should seriously try to vacuum out stains like on the headliner, rather than using a cloth. You might be pushing the stain into the padding, which will reappear.

I’ve never had my car detailed by a professional. I don’t think it’s worth it for me to buy a steam cleaner for $1000. Might work for you, I don’t have any kids
