I had the 512gb LCD deck with the anti-glare screen and bought into the glossy screen myth. So when the OLED launched I stuck with the 512GB unit thinking the matte screen would ruin the vibrancy of the panel. I received the unit on Friday and the reflections and glare on the screen was so annoying that I am returning the unit to buy the 1TB model.

it would cut the airflow from some important chips if they moved the vents. To move it it would require a redesign of the insides

I think 45 fps is going to be the sweetspot in many games, with 90hz refresh on the panel

Bro can you pls answer this -does steam deck speakers give spatial type sound ? Like left to right ? I want to know because i play COD i want to hear those footsteps etc pls reply i cant use earphones due to some ear issue thats why i am asking

Yes! The speakers are great. I never use a headset because of that. But remember that Call of duty will not work natively on the steam deck. They only launch with windows sadly.

OLED is very pretty sold my 512. LCD to a friend and got the 1TB OLED already had a 1TB sd card so yay now 2TB as far as i know as well the 512 GB OLED is the low tower “in OLED models” cuz it’s only 512 or 1TB which is strange but makes sense

I have the 1tb oled and no dead pixels for me. That is always the first thing I check on anything with a display.

It's not a "myth" lol I own both and side by side it's quite the difference in daylight. At night it's much harder to tell a difference. I personally don't notice/mind the reflections since I normally have my brightness up high enough, so for me the anti-glare screen was un-needed and just added a "hazed" look over the screen that I am not a fan of. To each their own!

A kickstand and a secondary USB-C port and another Micro SD slot would have made this a must buy for me. Oh well, happy with the OG.

I don’t get the paranoia about reflections. All my devices have glossy screens and I use them in sunlight just fine. Especially with amoled/Oled devices which are already bright and clear enough. Also most people will use the steam deck indoors but acting like they are Tom cruise on mission impossible and are always on the move come on man😂

Here in Aus the price for the oled 1TB costs the same as the legion go .. have to purchase the oled deck from third party as there’s no retailers that sell it here .. feels sadge

I also own both i got the 512 too was thinking if got the wrong one if shoudl gone with !Tb, what did you do to your old steam deck did you upgrade and what SD card do you use more. I also seen the screen and heard the same thign about the color on the one higher end ones, what do you thnk about that. I also seen that i bought a refub one for LCD one but seen the screen get dirty fast is that nromal? ANyway good video and hope we got the right oens

The etched screen is still a big win. Oled blacks means that reflections in dark parts of the screen show up even more, because there is no back light.

Deckmate for the kickstand. Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse will solve your other item.

Bluetooth mice/keyboards aren't very good for competitive games. Also I already have a grip case with a build in kickstand, but still would be nice to not have to use a third party item just to prop the device up on your lap, tray, or table.

There are a lot of colorblind content creators on KZbin. Lol that’s clearly orange not red. Orange is basically valves brand from the half-life days. Also that’s a 45 W charger not 65. Thanks for the comparison between the devices can’t wait to get mine

I mean, it is nearly as good. OLED as a screen type is superior but Legion has 120hz and 1080p.. 90 hz 800p is pretty close, then you get OLED and HDR on top of that. Its all preference..

Legion Go screen just isn’t practical for most cases. How many games are you getting 1080 120 and then on top of that the battery drain that comes with it

The Go is too big, at a point you might as well just get a laptop.
