The fact you have to compare the two in 720p at 15w makes the stream deck obsolete

You can see that the presets are higher on the Ally x, the Deck is always on low, it's not a very fair comparison really. In Far Cry that is too much appreciated.

Looks like the Rog Ally X is running at a significantly higher power bracket. The 15W on the Ally is only the GPU with no mention of what the CPU is drawing, whereas on the Steam Deck the 15W is for the entire APU.

For whatever reason on ROG Ally the iGPU/CPU power isnt splitted. It's the full APU power that is shown so iGPU + CPU. You could notice it on the battery draw but it isn't enabled. For a 15w APU lock the whole wattage on battery (Screen + SSD + Vents etc...) is about 25 watt, the exact same full draw that the Steamdeck. So nope, it's the exact same drain on both system

Was abt to say the same thing thing the draw is similar abt 1 to 3w diff at most. But running same profile and draw power

Why does it show in steam deck side two wattages, the G.PWR at 9-10w and C.PWR at 4-5w. While in the Ally x side, G PWR is 15w and there's no C.PWR? It's been years since I last run msi afterburner and I don't know what was use on this. So correct me if, I'm wrong. But does it not mean that the steam deck is pulling 15w full system power and the ally x is pulling 15w on the igpu alone?

Why 15W mode while in 25W mode the battery lasts the same as in Deck? - I played Cyberpunk in 25W mode 15 minutes longer than on Deck. Why 15W not 17W which is equivalent of that mode. In 25W mode performance would be 60-100% better with the same battery time. I know that You don't want to hurt Deck fanboys feelings but let's face it - there is massive performance boost up to 100% with less stutters and better loading times. Battery kills the one in Deck.

Honestly agree but it is interesting to see the comparison at 15W. But it doesn’t matter everyone knows the ally is just better but the steam deck does have a special place in my heart.

Damn relax why don’t we talk about price since that’s almost double that of a steam deck, right now the only good value choices are probably a used og ally or a steam deck oled

@@victorxmaster634 Steam deck is weak as hell limited to 15w can't even hit 60 frames at 720p high settings on forza, 10 to 20 frames make a huge difference, steam deck 2 is needed now with 32gb of faster ram minimum to beat the ally x

@@victorxmaster634 700 bucks for Deck 1Tb vs 799 bucks for 1Tb Ally X. Same price shelf. Not to mention Windows11 and GamePass are worth alone 200... Deck is wayyy overpriced.

+1 agree, 17w and 25w would show much larger differences in performance compared to the Steam Deck OLED.
