Great video as always. I look forward to the next. This is only a suggestion, but I think an interesting locomotive to look at would be the LMS Crab class. Never really known alot about then appart from that they were a George Hughes designed mixed traffic engines built for the LMS in the 1920s and early 30s.

Having seen USATC 1702 far too long ago, she was quite modern, but the S-160s that made it to the UK, were not really what they should have been. The Army needed them quickly, and a bunch of "bugs" were not detected until it was too late (Ask an airplane historian about the heavily criticized B26 Marauder or the B29 Superfortress, both of which were rushed into production too soon, with often deadly consequences.) . The testing that should have been done would require nearly a year of tests, redesigns and shipping time. But the Army needed them NOW (as in 1943) and hang fleshing out the bugs. This really was a fine design, as proven by USATC, Reader (AR), and Great Smoky Mountain, now Tennessee Valley Museum 1702's record. Were they too modern? Argue among yourselves ;)

I hope to eventually see the Austerity Saddle tanks being looked at. Mainly because many outlasted steam on BR and that they are a boon to many preserved railways

All in good time. The problem with Austerities nowadays is they're rarely seen on demonstration goods trains; which helps the viewer identify goods engines as goods engines. Apart from the usual gala days on the Foxfield and Tanfield Railways, and the odd appearance on the Kent & East Sussex Railway, it's hard to find them pulling such stock. As much as I would like to get round to them sooner, it's not as straightforward as filming anything that moves. So please, try to be patient.

Interesting possibilities. Wish I had the money to donate to the indiegogo, as I would love to see a narrow guage engine or two on this show; like the Double Fairlies or the NNG16 Garrats. But I suppose they would be harder for you to film anyway, due to the very specific locations. Whatever comes this way, I look forward to it :).

How difficult is it for you to film/present a youtube documentary in the middle of a public museum with crowds or in a workshop surrounded by cheeky workers? I don't know about you, but I'd be too nervous. Stage fright being what it is.

engineer6325 For the most part, I tend to pick quiet days when few people are about. But when I'm left with little choice, most people leave me alone out of (much appreciated) respect. Whenever someone jibes, it's fairly easy to jibe back and make fun of the situation. I used to get stage fright. But after a while, I just accepted that I would never get it right every single time and just got on with it. It takes training and a lot of practice, but you get used to it.

Louis Phung I think it was made clear enough in the Indigogo Campaign when voters declared it 'Peoples Choice Of 2015' that they will appear, yes… In any case, three are destined to run in 2015. So, they SHOULD be easy enough to cover within reason.
