Edit: I am aware of the tool avi-2-gba which allows the conversion of video files to a .gba rom file and while that's great for sharing around the Play-Yan Micro has the advantage of a higher framerate and clearer video both are valid methods of playing back video on the GBA and it really depends on your use case

This isn't a B&W source, GBA uses a lot of colors. GB is the B&W one, and it can also play Steamboat Willie btw

@@David2073I first noticed it around 1:36 when the parrot laughs, you can see quick splotches of yellow and cyan. Other instances occur throughout the video but they’re so fast and infrequent it’s too much of a hassle to timestamp them.

Looks cool! But the one thing I will suggest is that you could have made the movement slow, just to give it a Gameboy Advance Video feel, if you know what I mean. Gameboy Advance Video was thing in the 2000s, it was basically a show or movie put on a Gameboy Advance cartridge, but the movement of the video was slow because of it being on a very small screen and framerate. But still, cool video!! 👍👍

GBA Video was constrained by the cartridges they were on and the Play-Yan Micro does not have that problem and arguably better represents what true video playback on the GBA can do officially

I'm fully aware of the tools existence, and one benefit it brings is generating a compiled rom file that can be shared around which isn't possible on the Play-Yan Micro since the software is simply a video player but you get better results running videos on the Play-Yan Micro than you do using said converter tool so its a trade-off
