Made this today and it came out perfectly on my first try!! Loved it..the pudding is very well balanced, the ginger is neither overpowering nor is the pudding too sweet and pairs very well with the tea custard. Thank you for uploading this with clear instructions!

steamed puddings are both Christmas and New Year's Eve traditions for my family...although to be frank it's just plum pudding out of a tin and homemade vanilla custard on the side. Couldn't find a ceramic bowl with a lip on time! Had to make do with a ceramic bowl but skipped the wrapping step. The pudding tasted great but it didn't shape in. What can I improve next time? Christmas night dessert was a hit!
