@ReversedPolarity5 ай бұрын
This was very creative. At first, I didn't realize what was happening, but once you get the gist it's such a clever take. Some things I got from this: 1st Doctor [0:00]: A play on Bill Hartnell's repetition flubs and the classic serialized style 2nd Doctor [0:21]: A play on the different surviving material, from different quality cameras and sound to recreations and animations. 3rd Doctor [0:40]: A play on shoddy green screening, coloring (some of them were actually in black and white though), and the famous Pertwee credits sting with the funny reaction at the end. I'm surprised you didn't start that one with THE AMBASSADORS OF DEATH intro. That was a true shocker. 4th Doctor [0:53]: A take on the complex sci-fi takes during the Baker run, like the explanation of the TARDIS and plenty of hardcore sci-fi episodes. 5th Doctor [1:21]: A take possibly related to how characters were all very civil to one another in this era. Either that or a play on Black Orchid. 6th Doctor [1:27]: It wasn't exactly like this, but the Doctor did strangle his companion and was very confrontational, even to his own people. 7th Doctor [1:41]: VHS problems or the Doctor rolling his R's. The rest reminds me a little of Delta and the Bannermen and the crazier aspects of the era. 8th Doctor [2:16]: Paul was in a movie too (perhaps the firetruck was related to that), the audiobook fame, and a special on the Time War and the War Doctor. 9th Doctor [3:42]: Black jacket check, post-war vibes check, being angry at the camera/Dalek... check. 10th Doctor [4:01]: Shift between angry and playful, some "vanity issues" related to regeneration, and plenty of hot lip action. 11th Doctor [4:41]: More hot action (was it the mother or the daughter? Spoilers...) 12th Doctor [4:52]: A take on "Heaven Sent", easily one of the best episodes in the entire show. The disheveled hair and beard were a nice touch at the end. 13th Doctor [5:44]: 1st "female" Doctor 14th Doctor [5:52]: Bi-generation 15th Doctor [5:59]: The Doctor's round... rump. Yes, I've noticed, you're not alone there.
@engtilde5 ай бұрын
That 5th doctor bit at 1:21 is actually meant to be part of the 4th doctor segment. 5 is wholly skipped besides the theme being used as a cruel punchline. And with the 7th doctor, he rolls his Rs, but it also shows his manipulative (delightfully devilish) nature behind his nonsense (hence him saying random things to distract chalmers.) Not sure what you mean by the fire engine relating to him being in a movie, that was part of 7’s segment after he ran away leaving chalmers in the fire. Glad you enjoyed the Heaven Sent one though, when i found the “That’s my greatest story” line, i KNEW i had to include it, it’s too literal not to use!
@ReversedPolarity5 ай бұрын
@@engtilde I thought so in the beginning but then I said to myself "no way he did Davison dirty, this has to be a Davison thing for sure, it's too polished for Baker's run". Oh the poor lad 😅 The fire engine was because I associated it with the sirens in the movie. There were plenty of ambulances and police sirens in that one story to last a lifetime. I didn't think too much of it because I thought it could be some random insert. The "Heaven Sent" one was perhaps the most perfect one. It was crazy good.
