Steamrail Victoria: 102 years apart. A2 986 & V/Line VLocity VL65 at Newport Workshops. - 11.05.2017

Victorian Railways locomotive A2 986 was built in 1915 at the Newport Railway Workshops and at the time was a fast passenger locomotive. 102 years later in 2017, V/Line VLocity VL65 was completed and made a visit to the Steamrail Depot in West Block, Newport Railway Workshops to celebrate Victorian Trains being built in Victoria as well as the lead up to A2 986's return to service tour to Warragul on Saturday 13th May 2017. A2 986 having just being finished in a lengthy 30 year restoration stood side by side with the newest built V/Line Fast Passenger train built in Victoria, VLocity VL65. - 11.05.2017
