Had mine installed a couple of weeks ago at the Pompano location. There is no more slop/play and no more missing 2nd to 3rd in pulls and the knob being an inch lower is a huge plus. I would highly recommend this upgrade.

Hey guys! What's your honest opinion from personal experience and customer feedback with the MT-82 manual transmission? Specifically 2019+ GT's. Thanks!

Our 2018 HPDE car www.steeda.com/steeda-2018-q500-hpde-car has 17300 miles on the stock MT82 half of those miles are on a race track where you may shift 5 to 10 times in a matter of a lap or every couple of minutes. We have never had a problem. Our 2015 race car www.steeda.com/steeda-s550-20-race-car started its life as a supercharged street car with the stock 2nd gen MT82 after stripping it of its interior and building it into a dedicated race car without a supercharger we campaigned it with the same stock 2nd gen MT82 for 2 seasons before replacing it not because it broke but because we did not want to chance it any longer. We replaced it with another 2nd Gen MT82 that lasted 2 racing seasons. Last year we replaced that MT82 with 3rd gen stock MT82 which is the same transmission that is equipped in your car and our 2018 HPDE car. As of today we still have not had any issues with it. Bottom line if you shift gears properly and don’t abuse it, we have not found any issues or problems with naturally aspirated HP and torque numbers.

I had a 2017 GT manual, no issues but very low km, currently own a 2019 GT 10R80 PP1 300A pkg, but I'm seriously considering a 2021 GT manual PP1 401A. I really miss going through the gears and left leg workout. I don't really want to spend the extra $17k on a similarly equipped Mach 1 just to get the Tremec. Yes they really are that much more in Canada when comparing 401A manual to Mach 1 premium, also due to Mach 1 at MSRP and GT at almost invoice cost.

Hi Luiz, You won't need to drop the trans for this install

Only the Race Shift do you have to remove the drive shaft and lower the transmission the Street Shifter it's not necessary

Mine wont go into first or second..and first gear keeps going into reverse

I had that issue as well the shop had to file down some of the linkage and then it worked fine

Combine this with the full tilt boogie shifter trans mount and its just as good as the $600 mgw shifter. Forget about the rear body mount. 100 bucks from full tilt boogie.
