Thanks for the commentary and for not butchering my name! This was my first pokemon tournament and I had a blast! The rest of the mono steel team btw was forretress, metagross, and endure reversal scizor.

I dont get the commentary at the end. the hera can click endure even if he gets trapped, and how would "scouting for a substitute" help here?

Endure Hera doesn’t run substitute anyways. The correct line of play is to Calm Mind to burn the Endure turn then attack but Butters would have needed the foresight to know it was Endure Hera which can be reasonably assumed with Kingdra and Suicune but it’s no guarantee. Its a tricky position to be in

I was gonna say the same thing, there was no play. If it was substitute, he would sub until berry. The only play I guess was to predict it was endure and not sub and switch to Dug to aerial ace, but that's a hard read to make.

@@kAzinGaming If it's sub salac hera then staying in and surfing is the best play. After hera subs down to berry/swarm, leftovers recovery gives suicune a better than 50% chance of surviving swarm megahorn factoring in miss chance. This is assuming it's defcune, which i think it is given it's last mon on a boom spam team and it's running surf.
