It's so gangster. Bulky Gengar is bluffing dbond hard, especially after the salac pop. But the salac gives you the speed to grudge their move from before, basically no matter what. So if they expect you to dbond, you they don't kill you and sub or switch, or they accept the trade (or not notice the bluff) try to tbolt again and eat the turn.

Between DD Hyper Beam Salamence, 252 HP/252 SDef Magneton and Grudge Gengar (ft. Gyarados setting up in the face of Zapdos), the Dnite was the most normal part of the roller coaster that was charku's teams.

The funny thing is that this was my second ever win with that team. Played about 10 games on the ladder with it and lost all of them except one. Asked that one opponent if I should use it in revival, and they said yes. (i was 3 - 2 in that set so that could have been my last game and I hadn't used it yet)

@@tatewalquist7523 Main reason for the Hyper Beam is to kill Swampert for Gyarados. HP Flying is almost always better, but I figured that the team is so weird already that a Hyper Beam wouldn't hurt much(gyara also already has hp flying, and most of the time you bring pert in first against a mence, not the flying weak mon). It does 86 -102 to a standard defensive set.

I mean, grudge basically just turns quite a few really strong mons into active hindrances. I mean, rest-talk suicune just ceases functioning, banded pokemon just are forced to struggle. Especially since you just get a free switch into whatever setup sweeper you feel can take the best advantage of the situation. Hell, with one attack pokemon it literally can make it so that you cant even use them as proper switch fodder, since if they dont die, thats only more turns that they get to set up.

I'm new to ADV (and anything other than randbat for that matter) and as such I'm not that good at the speed benchmarks yet, but I assume Bulky Gengar can get outsped by more offensive Zaps?

@@nbr6116 It could, but I don't think they're running bulky Gengar as Gengar taking 90% indicates it has little-to-no bulk *and* the opposing Zapdos is modest. Even Modest Zap can't OHKO a bulkless Gengar The more I think about it, I think they're running Salac to also fish for Jolteon and Aero, both of whom lose a lot of their value without their STAB and would hit Gyarados super effectively and outspeed it if Adamant at +1

On a team with two DDers, I'd imagine Grudge Gengar would try to take Blissey's Ice Beam PP as well. The extra turn to set up on whatever KO'd the Grudger user is nice, but I can't help thinking you'd rather just boom on Blissey.

I am assuming it's HP flying on the DNite game 1. That would be it's most damaging stab click. I also assume Starmie was the 3 attacks set in game 3. It showed TBolt which is pretty rare with recover.

Commentator sounding pretty apathetic here, not our best work. Also, you bring up "just commentating turn by turn because it is so fast". You do realize you have the power to put it on a slower speed. Perhaps a speed that you can commentate and that viewers can follow better what is going on? Seems like it is worth a try.
