Awesome video Jason, beautiful work as always! Your freehand skills are amazing, I would have been center punching like every hole first just out of paranoia / lack of confidence lol. I caught your “shouldn’t this be a lever?” aside too 😄. I noticed a few months ago that they discontinued the EBM when I went to order an extra one-psyched that you have something in the works for that! Great camera work here, I’m sure it was a PITA to do in addition to the work, but it was worth it and came out great. Thanks so much for making and sharing this! 🙏

Wonderful work professionally done. I was wondering what that device was that consisted of a big bolt and two steel blocks that you put in the hole on the edge of the door. Now I see the you use it to make a recess for the deadbolt plate.

Thats a nice clean install. Used a squeeze play once in the early 90's. Most of the metal doors that I came across back then were to heavy of a gauge for it to work. Still using Lori dead bolts for new installs on metal doors. May borrow a squeeze play and use your technique seeing most metal doors nowadays are thin.

Drilling those metal doors sure create a lot of small sharp filings. I never thought about masking tape before putting the squeeze Play in or the plates on. I've done two like this now and forgot to center both times. Had to readjust and squeeze a second time. I get 14 cranks if the ratchet as well. Is it necessary to put in a latch plate for the deadbolt in this case? What if it's a tight door fit? Thx for all the videos you do Jason - Super Helpful.

in this case I think the strike plate was just to make things look more "finished" and hide just a plain hole.
