For those of us just learning, this is gold!! We need more of this stuff on KZbin. Much more, and more often.

isn't this supposed to be in 4/4 time?
@4Naturalgreen Жыл бұрын
@@barryebarnes Does it matter? Doesn’t to me. For me, it’s more about the technique than the time signature.

My goodness, how did you ever get so many steel masters together at one spot at one time? Would have been nice to print names of each as they played song together. John
@JamesMichaelErickson8 жыл бұрын
That would be courtesy of Larry Behm and the Steel Guitar Forum. I'll see if I can't get Larry to give me the names of everyone here so I can post them. My uncle is playing, that's why I come, and I only know a few guys, although I have taken up the steel guitar and hope to play at the jam one day!

Around the 12 minute mark there's a guy playing what looks like a Bigsby. Is that the genuine article? If not it's an awfully cool rig and an awesome reproduction. Thanks for posting the video.

Half the guys in that room had abysmal right hand form with very poor blocking. Embarrassing.
@redriveral27649 жыл бұрын
+Jay Gold Embarrassing to who? I loved the video, these guys (I'm guessing) are like me and play for fun. I give them 100% credit for getting out there and showing their stuff. Everyone had something different to offer. You are not much of a musician if you knock your fellow player.
@58Tailfin8 жыл бұрын
+Jay Gold I thought these guys sounded damn good, considering few of them probably have regular gigs. The only way to get better at playing in public, is by working up your nerve and playing in public! It doesn't help guys get the nerve up, when there are judgmental and negative buttheads with big mouths out there, talking down to guys trying to improve their game. Shame on you Jay Gold
@wyatt11538 жыл бұрын
+58Tailfin I suggest you correct your right hand technique along with these others. Like having toilet paper stuck on your shoe.

Wyatt and Jay Gold....Please post a link of yourselves demonstrating the correct blocking. Show, don't tell

+Allan Jirik I've played multiple instruments for over 40 years and never in my life ventured to discourage anyone from having a go at making music. Playing for fun's what it's all about. Forget the haters, love the music.
