A killer jam session at the Beaverton, OR Elks Club, May 19, 2013. More than 22 players showed up to take their solos round-robin style. Wow!

And this is the reason why I absolutely love the sound of the Pedal Steel Guitar. They bring out the best in country music. Without them in the picture, I don’t know what country music would be like.

My Dad played the steel guitar and I was always just blown away by the sound. My Grandfather introduced me to guitar and my talent developed from their influence. I sent this to my Dad in an email. Sure hope he enjoys it as much as I have! I have watched this at least 25 times now!

That was fantastic. I was really hoping for a round with "EVERYBODY!". I knew it would sound like a herd of cats. That was the best thing I ever heard. Awesome job, all around!

You Oregon guys have such a great community of steelers and hats off to Larry Behm and the band and all involved to foster this community. I couldn't make this one but I'll be back!

Wow! I sold most of my steel guitars back in 1997, and got into bluegrass playing resophonic guitars commonly known as Dobros. They're a LOT easier to move around, but I still have a few 6 string lap steels and enjoy the sustain of a steel guitar. This is a GREAT video. You're all having wayyyyyyyy too much fun!!! Life is short, play as many (proper) notes as you can. Richie

I have been bitten by the bug, Henry....to the tune of 8K i'm told. My uncle who plays was an engineer, and I could tell that I was around a bunch of really smart, understand hip-cool cats. They had gear mojo goin' on, and you could just see the compeition all over their guitar faces and mouths...lol
