I've been working with a heavy club and mace since the start of this year. The club has helped my mace swinging. I recall the first time I swinging a 15# mace and thought WTF! Dropped down to a 10# for about a month and got the techniques down. Now swinging my homemade 27# mace is fun!

I think the benefit I had before working with a mace is I started with heavy clubs. That shorter arm on the club was easier to adapt to the balance on the catch.
