For this month's column, we're going to focus on a Steel Panther song that is so great and so hooky, it's pretty much impossible to imagine that it even exists.
"Community Property," from our 2009 album, Feel the Steel, contains a grand total of four chords, which, to me, is a good thing. Simplicity can be great.
For example, I want all of my girlfriends to only have one vagina. That's enough for me. This song is a perfect example of my philosophy for living life.

He used to be a professional guitar Instructor for G.I.T. in hollywood California. He likes to joke around, but he's a serious talent, definitely one of the Top players of all time. People won't admit it, because they can't deal with the fact that a guy from a "mock band" is BETTER than "their" favorite stupid no-name metal/thrash band.....hahaha. But remember, this guy is Classically Trained....he has a Degree in this shit, he's a Master at the fret board, he knows it in and out. The reason he stays with Steel Panther, is because it's a No Pressure Fun band...he gets to wake up and play with his best friends, and topless girls at every show(even though hes married)...it DOESNT get better than that, period.

Satchel was also in Rob Halford's ( Judas Priest ) thrash band, FIGHT :) " Into The Pit " is an INSANE track still, hell, all their whole albums were :) He's a comedy / musical POWERHOUSE :)

Thats the general feel people who hate steel panther seem to have. They cant deal with the fact that SP are so talented and have fun doing it whilst they themselves or their favourite bands are trying so hard at being serious and getting nowhere, so they just call SP a 'joke' band as if it somehow diminishes their talent

He uses primarily Kramer Pacers. Until recently he switched to Charvel 🤔 not sure why he switched but if anyone does please fill me in! I thought Kramer and satchel were a match made in hell in a beautiful way! Hopefully Charvel release a LH version of his signature model unlike Kramer! Anywho satchel could make a banjo plugged into a 5150 sound fuckin epic! He’s such an underrated guitarist. I'm wondering, his bridge looks like a floyd rose but his tune ajusting knob on the 6th string seems different, was that made so you could drop tune? Cause I'm guessing it's got more room to tune than the little ones, anyone can confirm or correct?

That's a D Tuna on the bridge. (EVH invention) for quick drop tuning a full step down on the low E.
