I could watch this interview for hours. The tangents that Satchel takes off on reach so far out there it is hilarious. Cap did a great job reeling him back in and getting one of the more serious interviews I have seen on Satchel. That is not an easy task. Great job Cap!

You've interviewed a lot of great guitarists, including most of my favorites... but you have to realize now that no interview you ever conduct is going to live up to this one with Satchel. The dude just slays these things, lol.

Wow, did not expect Satchel to go off on a tangent about crapping in an outhouse in the 1700's and the struggles associated with it.

Realy Great. I do wish that someone could actually do an interview with SP where they act like their true selves and not the stage act. These guys are all great musicians and it would be so interesting to hear about their start as musicians, past bands they have played in, why and how they came up with the SP thing etc..I know that the singer and guitar player were in an amazing VH tribute band years ago. I guess they just won't do interviews like that. oh well :(

There's plenty of interviews like that. Just search for interviews with their real names.

I'm lucky that they played Vegas almost every weekend for years. I have hung out with them numerous times after the shows. I've only had conversations with them out of character. I have asked them so many questions over the years. Stix is the one who really talks the most about music. "Satchel" really doesn't talk much about Fight. I've asked questions about the band, but he never really goes much into it. He always steers it back to what he is doing with Steel Panther. It's his baby.
