oh yes, one of my favorite parts of the game, the movement is so fluid and you can adapt to natural terrain without even building anything sometimes, most other 2d games I've seen are either very restrictive or simply make the characters jump very high

@@chocomojo9552 my Dupes climb past the auto loader close to a worksite to use the one at the top of the fire pole. They're both the same distance from the ladder and I used the copy settings tool. They're definitely doing it because they like going down the pole

Since you're short on space, a full stable of cuddle pips holds 24 pips. And they can eat arbor trees as well (they'll be stuck at 66% chance of laying another CP egg) 24 pips = 12 Hatches in meat, or you can do omellettes out of the eggs. Basically a 50% increase in space efficiency + extra dirt (and cuddles!) and you won't need to worry about raw minerals for the hatches

the rocket platform doesn't actually transfer temperature with anything, so it absolutely doesn't matter which metal you make them out of. Just a heads up I guess. :)

Definitely worth it to go to the desolate planet and load as many metals as you can into the rocket along with the space Dorko. I'm already excited for the next episode too! But maybe another series could be an all exploits run.

@Echo i would suggest setting your overflow hydrogen generator to be in the spine, while you may have tons of coal it never hurts to be frugal. Also you could setup some oxygen masks to go to the bottom of the base tap into the carbon dioxide geyser and pump it out at 1k/s for a more permanent cooling source. This would be a great way to recapture excess steam for some addition water (not that you need it).

I've always thought that was a flaw in the whole transporters shtick in futuristic shows. No way is the transported person the same person.

The automation port on radbolt generators doesn't turn them off when red. They still consume power and charge up. It only prevents them from shooting. Which mean that if they charge enough, without a memory toggle and a pulse generator, they can shoot multiple times when the port turns green because the radbolt actually take some time to reach the destination and turn back the automation signal red. So be careful with that, radbolt generator automation is tricky. The easiest thing to do is just to automate a power switch instead of the radbolt generator itself.

Have you considered unfreezing the frozen dupe on Inveralin? I'm so curious because I thought it was just a good idea to take them right away but in a max difficulty run like this it might be much more important to keep the resources flowing to just one dupe

It might be a too much risk in such harsh conditions. Random dupe can mess a lot with unlucky perks

On my run, thanks to irregular oil, I have slicksters. No drecos or thimble reed like you, but slicksters. So a oxy mask fueled dirty brick. It hasn't gotten hot enough for scaldings yet, but with both a feral sulfur geyser [currently stifled by my sewer overflow] and a polymer press, that will change soon... Pips making dirt to feed hatches to run coal generators to feed slicksters to make crude to refine into plastic is how I plan to get to long-term temperature maintenance [steam turbines over both the sulfur geyser and steam vent will help with the power needs so I can run aquatuners to delete some heat] I also have a single carbon skimmer/water sieve setup in the brick to make polluted dirt to feed my pokeshells and sanishells [and eventually oakshells once my dupes finally get around to transporting some more ethanol to the eventual oakshell ranch from my dirty brick on bottom of base [which has 3 safely trapped volcanoes for an eventual sauna/geothermal plant], where I am burning some of the pip leftovers in an ethanol powered petroleum generator. Yes I like Rube-Goldberg devices.

I'm glad my dupes are not the only ones who get in those fixes. I'm also not very happy that the game waits so long to let you know they are suffocating. I usually notice the 'trapped' notification unless I'm already dealing with another dupe. If the suffocation notification came up sooner it would help save lives. 😞

when you get to an asteroid that features pufts, then get some. one puft can support up to 11 dusk caps, meaning that a single stable of 6 pufts can support 66 caps, which should end food issues. add a single squeaky puft and a chlorine vent, and you can add 57 waterweed plants on to that.

Rather than CO2 Engine could also go the Sugar Engine route. Just need to feed Sweetles Sulfur on the second planet for Sucrose. Nice boost in range for round trips.

should grab the sucrose from upside-down world and make a sugar engine, you can load refuel materials into a rocket and have full distance each way between planets its super easy to refuel all the solids making each fuel tank a one way trip with a full resupply once landed on another planet making it the most distance from starter rockets

Was mentioned last video by another commenter: just send a rover over to one of those planets with a jungle biome and head right home. If the rover reveals a drecko, it'll come up as a care package. I tested this myself and it's how I got dreckos on this sad little rock.

It is a thematic thing with the community. Some members like strip mining entire planetoids... some like keeping the abyssalite intact. I lean towards keeping in intact for the added challenge and the fact that it makes a finished planetoid look pretty cool.

The one he made does 10 dupes - you may not be making enough O2! there are a couple other problems that might be going on too: temperature of the water (too hot and it becomes steam before it can become O2) or gaps in your water supply (for example, toileta also being fed from the same water line and being given priority or split priority)
