+BabyJesus4lbs20oz Imagine being upset about something you didn't even lose money on I bet out of both of you neither did but I lost about 80$ on that match and guess what I could care less I want the NA scene to grow and be able to compete with other regions so I 100% agree with the fact that they should be unbanned.
@SuicidalThotsTV8 жыл бұрын
At the moment, sure. Look where it is now though, getting pretty big. There were no skins before in CS and people were still playing that. Same game, same shit money. What's better, a few skins or possibly being a contending NA team? Dazed and Steel have great game sense and could've done well, which I would love to see.
@SuicidalThotsTV8 жыл бұрын
I don't bet anyway but yeah I agree with you. The duo of steel and dazed would be a lot more exciting on the scene now than a lot of other NA players/teams out there. And it is stupid that VAC'ed players are still playing but instead of blatant hacks they decided to fuck with "Valves money". And Valve is shit sooo here we are.

We need mOE´s reaction to Steel's perspective on dazed's reaction to warowl
@Fabouss8 жыл бұрын
One point that needs to be mentioned is that that video is part of WarOwl's Matchmaking Academy. Which includes the word Matchmaking. A land where people rarely play as a team. WarOwl's advice was directed to someone playing matchmaking, not someone playing with a team in some organized league. DaZeD arguments are therefore invalid as he was talking from a "pro" type of player's perspective.
@MinusTheCoffee8 жыл бұрын
In any rank higher than dmg your teammates will most of the time be throwing correct smokes hitting easy shots and will be able to communicate to a basic level. Nothing dazed said was too difficult to execute even in an average mm game. The only thing that was needed of your team was for your highway player to peek fork and kill the guy. Not too difficult

Yes, my thoughts as well, but I went and looked for Warowls video (called Holding Angles like an Eagle) and the dude, as the video title suggests, is fucking LEM. He should hit that shot 10/10 at LEM.
@albinfogel79827 жыл бұрын
Nobody hits shots 10/10 wheter their LEM or Global. All the ranks are so mixed up in skill levels aswell so this LEM player could aswell have the skill of a DMG or LE player for instance.

Not 'shots' in general, I am aware that people are no perfect regardless of their rank. Just 'that' shot in particular looked rather easy to hit. Please ready carefully before responding, I was only referring to 'that' shot.

Steel logic: "you need context guys, you never know, CT might not have hands"
@hmm85998 жыл бұрын
His context claims aren't that irrational. How you would analyze a situation would need to depend on knowing the enemy team's previous behavior, this is why Dazed's perspective or WarOwl's perspective may appear wrong in some games as you will never get the same enemy team. Context in this matter would be important for giving actual feedback, as Steel had said because both Dazed's and WarOwl's perspectives can only be applied to only a couple of enemy teams. However, if this was a poor joke: n1 thumbs up.

The one thing that none of the 3 players analyzing this demo realize is his teammate was down highway when he shouldn't have been, due to the 3rd CT being pushed up vent in mid. The CT at highway has literally no reasoning for being there whatsoever when his teammate already has 99% of mid controlled, and no one can make it to highway. How did no one notice this????
@jaek2448 жыл бұрын
This is really interesting, as it seems that WarOwl's tips work for low-mid level matchmaking, while Steel and DaZeD's are geared more towards high level matchmaking and client users. Would like to see more of this, great job!

Steel says around 1:33 that "We don't know how aggressive the enemies have been playing all game." Yet what he doesn't know is that people who submit these demos for WarOwl generally give him the whole demo and specify where they want him to look. So, in theory, WarOwl can in fact know this information and make these assumptions.

It would be really interesting to see videos with multiple you-tubers discussing tactics together (in a civil and polite way, of course) in a drill-down type session to see where the consensus is and where the differences are between lower-level CS fundamentals, and the more nuanced and creative ways that pros play. i think a lot of people have gone through all of WarOwls stuff and have evolved to that level as players, but unless you want to analyze pro demos for hours on end (props to those who do) and figure it out for yourself, there's really not much content out there to bridge the gap between the CS essentials and the more advanced "master" level of play. i think the game itself has grown to a place where this kind of advanced curriculum would be consumed by many CS players looking to take it to the next level.

Warowl knows the player isn't likely to hit a peak shot on forklift consistently. Warowl also knows that the player cannot rely on his teammates to rotate quickly enough to support him. Warowl also realised that the player is effectively soloing A site from fence. Warowl has given the best advice in the CONTEXT of this particular match. Low rank matchmaking is not remotely at the same level as rank S and pro-team csgo. You need to play more for yourself in matchmaking, relying on team mates for support instead making the defensive play in spots like this is gonna get you killed 9/10 times. I think Steel and Dazed have forgotten what it's like to play with randoms in low rank mm.

I really think that War Owls video is meant for new players. Now, let me go more into this before you dislike it. New players have a hard time getting into the groove is counter strike, an experienced player knows to recognize what he does wrong when he does it. Dazed says to "not miss an easy shot". New players tend to miss easy shots quite often. War Owls advice suits them way more, Dazed is correcting him as if someone seeking help knows how to play the game in and out. Holding an easier angle would be the safest bet for someone looking for a tutorial video on counter strike.

That is the best thing I take away from this video: context matters. In MM, WarOwl's advice probably makes more sense for the player in question. If you knew for a fact that your team was going to have a set strat or even somewhat of an idea of how to play together properly as a team, then DaZeD's perspective and your take on it would work out nicely. But if your team isn't really coordinating, which it appears they weren't, just holding a safer angle is probably the right way to go most of the time.
