Steel Shop Drawings

Question. Did you create the steel shop drawings? Another question if you didn't create the steel shop drawings, how much did you pay for that. I am trying to see how much to charge. I am planning to create shop drawings in the future.

Hi Jhon- We did not create these shop drawings. The steel fabricator creates them for us and then our in house team reviews them with the architect and engineer to confirm elevations. I have seen outsourced shop drawings cost anywhere from $2,500-$30,000 depending on the size of the house. I think if you're providing detailed drawings, with good communication, follow through and follow up you could charge a premium price for your work. Hope this helps, good luck!
