Steel wool, my favorite! It can catch a spark from flint too...🔥🔥🔥

Yes it can!! I had to carve this out of an older video for a virtual instruction coming up, and figured why not just put it up?

That's cool! I have never seen it before. That's a great quick way to make fire 👍

It is! The only way I've screwed it up is to have the wool too balled up and thick - too many "wires" to carry the electrical load and you don't get the heat needed. Pull it really thin and you'll see sparks start crawling over the wool for a good long time with just one quick touch of the battery.

And we still have snow and frost.

😂 We do too, actually! This is an older piece of a longer video I was asked to pull out for an instructional thing coming up, and I just decided it was fun enough to make public. But yeah, ready for T- shirt weather again!! Thanks for watching and commenting!

This is such a beautiful trick. This has helped me on so many wet Oregon nights.

It's kind of a party trick, I'll admit, but it sure is a fun and easy one!

Thanks, and appreciate the specific feedback. I was forced into a two- year hiatus here, so trying to re- engage and rebuild, and always good to hear specifically what folks are interested in!
