A good (and the only) homage to the IWC Mk XV, especially if you swap out the bracelet for a good leather strap. Would be much better if the lume and the hands where white.

Nice review! Straight to the point and covers all the main points. Did you choose that handset when ordering? I ordered this 3 weeks back and couldn't find that option. I hope it comes with this set of hands, they look much higher quality than the one they had before.

When I placed my order in mid June all the photos in the listing still showed the classic flieger sword hands. I only found out they started using these new type of hands when I opened the package. Since then, all Ali-express sellers changed the photos, so I believe you will receive the same new style of hands that I did.

how does this hold-up to the islander flieger?

Well to start with its 100$ cheaper. I believe the islander field watch I bought was 40 mm. Finished a little better without the sharp edge of case this has. All Islanders are good buys. I have both. Satisfied with both but this is a perfect size at 39mm. I bought it with nato strap to avoid bracelet issues Better warranty with an American shipper like Marc.

You paid less than 100 dollars, I say it's a very good watch. Update :there is a major flaw design with this watches, the crown doesn't screw totally to the case it stays a space of +-1mm between the crown and the watch, very ugly, shame because it's a beautiful watch
