After watching Austin this season, I said Mike needs a new DC. Several good creative DCs are getting wins. Combined with our poor O line, where additions & changes need to be made, these 2 factors will hold the Steelers back from the Super Bowl.

He played Right side as a rookie but he wanted to play left so the moved him. Why does anybody think that moving him to a side that he is less comfortable playing at, will improve his productivity??? This is just another dumb talking point.

Never forget the Steelers missed out on Lamar Jackson by keeping Ben too long. Probably the biggest mistake made in franchise history looking at how things played out. They took Terrell Edmunds 🤪

Ive been saying this for years. Austin is an average DC. Our defense has always played below there capabilities. That's why Minkah stepped in last year. Way to conservative. Tj hides alot of the DC flaws. We need way more blitz packages. Austin is average at best been saying it for years.

He doesn't want to. He requested to play the Left edge after playing Right as a rookie. Why would moving him to a position he is less comfortable playing, make him more productive?? He is just getting older. Dude is 30.. it's time for his production to start to tail off.

Ah the latest sportstalk talking point, TJ needs to move around.... Like most of theses talking points, this is mostly nonsense. TJ will not move around for the same reason Ben didn't run more play action. Because he doesn't want to. TJ is on the Left because that was where he asked to play. Nobody seems to remember that TJ started on the Right, then asked to be moved to the left where he ys more comfortable. TJ is just getting older, he is 30 now. It's time for his production to start to slide. No need to look for conspiracy theories to explain away things.
