I remember the fluke of the 2021 season, and thinking we could do this for maybe 7 games that season, but Tomin drove the tires off that team to get to 11-0, and it was unsustainable. This year this recipe will ensure we don’t cook our tires before the end of the season. We could take the AFC North with this team. We could even win a couple playoff games if we stay healthy. Something special is in the air in Steeler Nation. Here We Go!!!

Not to mention.. that team had multiple injuries that also derailed the season. It started with Bud Dupree and Edmunts. Then the offensive line got hurt and Mike Hilton. That team wasn't even close to the team it started out to be in the playoffs

@@ZacheryZimmerman-uk4tiunfortunately we are currently without two starting OL and our ROLB and third CB. And both RB’s are injured. It’s definitely better to go through tough sledding with a two game lead on the division.

@paladin1726 that's all true, but our depth is better this year. Herbig might be an upgrade at pass rush. Najee is fine. Patterson has plenty of experience in Arthur Smith's offense. Isaac Seomalu is back this week, but McCormick and Anderson have shown to be capable. CB is the tough spot...Cam Sutton is waiting til week 9. He knows how to play with Minkah....so hopefully they stop but it feels better this year.

They didn't get stuck at the 1 yard line they stopped coz they didn't need to run up the score or was a classy move just win the game take a knee

I agree it was intentional not to score the TD. But personally, I don't agree with the whole "classy move" thing as a concept, especially in professional sports. Both teams have the same salary cap. Both sides are being paid. If you don't want the score to run up, then stop them. Same with the whole TD dancing thing. If you don't want them to score TD's and dance, stop them. Just my opinion, I understand not everyone might agree, and that is absolutely fine. But strategically, it was beneficial not to score the TD and just run out the clock.

@@xx1CRU i agree on both points you made. I think Mike was just about win the game and do it in such a way that they know you could have ran it up but you didn't... you are alive because I choose it kinda thing... maybe that's even more intimidating lol

I think that CC is onto something. I have the offense having its best week of the season. 3 TDs mixed with 1 or 2 FGs. Colts are fortunate to have a couple sustained drives in the first half, but come up short. The Colts rely heavy on their run game. Which doesn’t get the job done in the red zone against this D. My final score prediction is 24 or 27 to 9 Steelers.

I want to see Patterson run the ball more. With Warren being hurt I expect he will get more touches. I really liked how he ran in the 4th quarter on Sunday.

I think this is our first big running game this season. I have a few friends that are Colts fans and they are saying their interior line and run defense is a big weakness. I'd love to see 200 rush yards total across the team. As lkng as Fields continues to show progress and protects the ball i think we should do well. Would love a dominant victory.

In other words, the Steelers are the Seahawks! The difference is that JF can make them dynamic by adding to the run game. Russ makes a team dynamic with his passing and his running, and don’t be fooled…he can still run. He may not be as twitchy as he was at age 25, but he’s still better than all but a select few QBs in the league, and they’re all 7-10 years younger than he is. Russ is amazing. To finish top-8 in rushing last year at age 34/35 in 15 games, with Sean Payton being a complete jerks, was amazing. JF is growing. I like what I see from him but he shouldn’t be trashing his old coaches.

We have played 2 bad teams and the Bolts without Herbert. Fields has 2 quality quarters. O line is struggling aside from Frazier. D backs are vulnerable. We’re way better than we’ve been, but we’re not ready for Ravens, 9ers, Chiefs, Bills, etc.

It’s a complete D; and will make them earn every 1st down. I think all 4 LB’s can shadow these mobile QB’s. All it takes is one holding penalty, tackle in the backfield, or sack to halt the drive.

@ZacheryZimmerman-uk4ti
@ZacheryZimmerman-uk4ti Ай бұрын
The oline isn't even playing at its best. Most run plays so far this year have been blown up by Spencer Anderson's mistakes. Isaac Seomalu will make the offense more efficient. Once he comes back... the run game gets better and the play action will get better. Roman Wilson also coming back might change the WR2 discussion...he excels at drag routes ans crosses over the middle. He also values blocking....if he pans out, this trade for a WR2 wont be happening

I don't care how big an arm ya have, when The Culture of Violence & Pain is crashing toward you as if your O-line isn't even there, you're very quickly reconsidering your career choice. By the end of the 1st quarter I expect the rookie QB to be in base self preservation and survival mode, and by the 2nd half, fuggetaboudit! PTSD will have set in and the Colt's QB will be "making business decisions" by then. And on offense... holy crap, just watch the close up film on Naj runs. The House of Pancakes on the line is doing damage every play, but when Patterson & Naj in particular come thru that line they are causing pain. Naj is special 'cuz he just keeps doling out more and more punishment the more he runs. I don't care what the BS reasons were, he absolutely deserves to get paid!!!
