Disagree, the risk outweighed the reward. Reward- 1st down on your own 40 yd line Risk- automatic points for opposing team, a potential easy tie, flip momentum. No way that potential reward was worth it.

Against one of the NY teams we had two plays where I believe Najee then Warren were whistled dead. In both instances they broke free and could have had a good amount more yards. We mostly complained about them blowing the play dead. I'm not about to cry about it because I wanted them to blow it dead today. Don't fumble the ball and it won't really matter.

Media instantly just started saying Washington isnt as good as they thought and had a super easy early schedule. The Steelers never receive any credit. Today was not perfect by any means but the Steelers are still growing offensively. Hopefully the D can start to figure things out. Heyward is taking advantage of TJs double teams but the secondary had a rough game.

That I was almost sure that the fake punt was in their back pocket and practiced because Washington is aggressive in their blocked punt attempts. You can see Pierre point at the guy when he leaves him uncovered and that triggers the fake punt. If the gunners are covered it's just a standard punt.

@Runescape_God Maybe at some point, the reporter I am talking about is DK pittsburgh sports, I don't remember him mentioning crutches but it is possible. He's followed the team a long time and is pretty level headed and accurate about things, so I trust him. He did say Highsmith had help to take off his gear and such, but apparently the very first thing they do in cases like that is go for an xray. If it was broken or badly sprained, they would more than likely put him in a boot.

Russ has always been great. He has all the throws, he is a general out there and is a really good chess player. As soon as they signed him I wagered Steelers to win AFC North. Najee didn't get big yards but he ran hard and fast and picked up needed yards with tough gutty runs.

Hey Alex, The reason why i disagree with you on the fake punt, i gotta use your own words. "Its risk vs rewards." Its the 1st quarter and we have most of the momentum thus far. We're at our own 12yd line. If he catches it, gets a 1st down and lets say 5-10 yds after the catch... we're STILL only at our own 40 yd line! We still have like 30 yds to go to get into potential field goal range. Thats not a great reward by itself. But then you add in the risk. If you fail, its automatic 3 pts on the board for WC or an easy route to 7 points and a tie in a game where we had most of the early momentum. And the ensuing td/tie is exactly what resulted. In my opinion, the risk GREATLY outweighed the reward. Great play, just would've like to see it in a more advantageous situation.
