A Toronto walk in North York (that actually starts in Vaughan and pops over to Markham briefly) and then heads south down Yonge Street to Finch. I pass by the future Steeles subway station site as well as the proposed one at Cummer.
Recorded in 4K at 60 FPS Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Use to work at Newtonbrook Bowlerama back in 83/84 as a pin chaser back when I was 16/17 making 3.15 an hour worked about 20 hours weel it was enough money back then to buy all the concert ticket to see the bands came to town great times. Wow what a change Newtonbrook Plaza gone it has been years since I been up to that part of Yonge St.

I love the sunsets behind the hydro corridor at Newtonbrook. And it was even better before all those towers were built up to obscure the view. Looking Eastward from the Kiss 'n' Ride parking lot or thereabouts, the sunlight would magnificently reflect from the glass on the Bel Air Direct tower and the North American Centre towers, more dramatically than I think they would now.

Burrito Place! I went there one time 😆. My favorite spots are the large green parks. Some hidden within urban areas and others along the Lake with a great view. Have you tried any spots along the Lake for a long walk?

I remember John Anderson near the Finch Station was originally on the site where the DUCA credit union on Yonge is. I believe they booted them from their location. Too bad they are gone.

That’s such a nice area they’re about to ruin. I would be nice if they kept the vibe of the area and built houses. Even very small houses. Too many condos. The subway will take years and years. In the meantime, tons more people coming into the area with no convenient transit. I live near here but find it relaxing watching your walk. Thank you!!!!

Really? This sea of parking lots and strip malls is the "nice area they're going to ruin"? As it stands it's an uninviting place for pedestrians. We have to build more housing in this city, and this is a prime place to do so. It doesn't matter how dismal the intersection. You'll always find some crank who wants everything to stay the same.
