Hello Thundermist lures. I really wanted your opinion on when to go to the Niagara whirlpool, I wanted to try to catch browns, steels/rainbows & lakers. What time of the year do you think is best to try and catch any or all 3 of these trout?? I love your videos, I've been watching for years now, keep them coming. Thanks.
@thundermistlures5 жыл бұрын

Rafael, if you drive to the Niagara Whirlpool aero car then find the parking lot on the north side of the pool long the parkway. On Google Maps it is marked as 'Upper Whirlpool Trails'. About 40 m south is the stairs down. Be aware that climbing back up is quite an exercise.

Gorgeous couple of fish, but there are no steelhead east of the rockies. None. A rainbow trout is a steelhead when it is anadromous. The salt water actually changes metabolism and the skeletal structure of the fish. No saltwater, and it stays a rainbow trout.
