I really appreciate your tutorial video, I really needed some advice, please make some simple friendly gear tutorial and how to catch as well, there are lots of learning videos on KZbin but mostly complicated and commercialized, not friendly. Thank you very much.

Check out my series of Coho Fishing tutorials from last fall. It includes one on salmon gear too. More are in the works.

It was nice bumping into you that day Petr. I was wondering when this video would get uploaded. These videos about Steelhead are so crucial, especially for beginners to watch. There’s just not enough info out there about regulations, handling, and etiquette for Steelheading. Keep it up 👍

Nice meeting you too. I'm thinking about a more in depth discussion on etiquette next.

You bet, it looks like work is really piling up this winter, so I might not be out much.

Thanks for putting these videos out, I’m new to river fishing and they help. I saw you at Allison Monday but wasn’t sure it was you, looks like you shot this right after I left.

can you keep a hatchery steelhead in any river?
@petrhermanadventures95092 жыл бұрын
Regulations vary from river to river, I really can't answer that. There is no retention of wild steelhead anywhere in B.C., but there may be some rivers with no hatcheries where stray hatchery fish can show up. If you look up your river and there are no water specific regulations listed, then provincial and regional regulations apply. In region 2 that's a daily limit of 2 hatchery steelhead.

Do I need a license and or tag for steelhead if your under 16. I know for salmon I don't but do I for steelhead?
@petrhermanadventures95093 жыл бұрын
No, you do not need a license or tag if you're a resident of B.C. under 16.

thats not centrepin!

correct. I use all 3 types of reel, center, levelwind, and spinning. Some days when it's cold the spinning reel is so much easier to handle.

U didn't even tall about limits. Hahahahah

Not exactly a problem most people have to worry about. But I did mention it in the video description. 2021 was a humbling steelhead season for me, limits were definitely not the issue LOL.
