Martin Dworak Oh Martin, don't fret. My daughter was born in 1988 and has the same lament that you do. She has been around music all of her life. Her parents, myself and hubby were in our late teens in the mid to late 70's She loves the Beatles and John Lennon. All 3 of my daughters were born listening to Journey and the rest of the hair bands that followed. My youngest, the same age as you is the youngest "hippie" there is! She is sad that she wasn't born in the "cool generation" but makes up for it now. Now my grand kids that were born to my middle daughter born the early 80's have grown up on the hair bands and know just about every 80 song there is. They are also knowledgeable of the 90's music. My young hippie daughter is now introducing me to some of the current bands that are worth listening to. We did have a great time back in the day!

Everyone is saying how did I miss this band growing up ? It's easy they came out at the very end of hair metal by then everyone looked the same sounded the same etc. Radio stations hardly played them these guys were the last hair band to be signed before Grunge came mainstream. The movie Rockstar introduced many new fans to Steelheart and Mili's vocal talents so to say this was a slap in the face to him it actually wasn't Rockstar is the movie that brought a lot of our favorites back together and introduced a new generation to hair metal. Now if you want to see and hear vocal talent from an artist today. Check out Moriah Formica ( lead singer to Plush ) she actually slayed a cover of Steelhearts's Angel Eyes. Many are comparing her to Ann Wilson of Heart when she was in her prime.
