The drummer here is Ricky Lawson he died in 2013 and was a member of the famous band the Yellow Jackets great live performance!

It was recorded at Sony Music Studios in NYC.

Thanks for reacting to this. You were the first to do this one. It's a small venue with I'm guessing around 50-100 people in the audience. This was recorded in January 2000. A lot was happening with Steely Dan around that time. They had just released their first studio album (Two Against Nature) in 20 years. That album won the Grammy award for album of the year. The Aja documentary had just been made and Steely Dan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. It was a great time to be a Steely Dan fan.
