The great Lionel Richie and company from the album The Commodores released in 1977. They sure don't make music like this anymore!

I miss those days, too. It's one of many reasons why I'm always coming here to watch this video, and 'September' by Earth Wind & Fire. They look like they're having the best time. For Funk Sake, we need more of this music, it's simply brilliant. The story goes that while the Commodores were in Studio, something went wrong, and while they were waiting for the techos to fix the problem, Ron la Pread started goofing around with a bass riff, and the rest is history.
