ive been watching the entire build so far and i love it but with me being a cnc machinist some of your ways of machining and fabricating look a little cringy but i love the fact that you are actually getting it done with what you have and not a lot of people are pilling to do that much

Great video - keep up the clever construction techniques. Have you considered using a hole saw mounted in your lathe chuck with a piece of tubing mounted to the cross slide as a tubing notcher? You could use the hole saw in the chuck to cut clamps on the lathe centerline. This setup would allow you to swing the tubing to any angle to notch it.

Hey mate, awesome to see how well you've done with the build so far. I can see you're using Solidworks for all your CAD design, so it could be a good idea to turn on "Perspective" in the display options so you don't get the weird sizing issues that you seem to be having when showing us your designs

Yes, as I watch you more I can see that you will be using your new lathe for many modification and fabrication upgrades. That sleeve on the arm where one side was aluminium and the other steel, if you make the internal dia to go over the aluminium a tight interference fit and then heat it the steel will expand, knock it on and then it will cool to a very tight fit on the aluminium. Also, you will be able to use that new lathe of yours to cut a key way on the end of the shaft in the previous video instead of having to weld that cap on. Just suggestions so hope you don’t mind. You are doing a fantastic job

I would add Grease fitting to the bushings for the stearing shaft. Also beware of having a Long shaft like that could potentially during impact be pushef Up towards you since its very rigid. Nothing to give :) lastly add a stop ring in the inside of the shaft that hold the front wheels so it cant Glide in. Cant see any There? It also looked lika standard Berings but on such a light wehicle i Guess it Will hold Up. Good work!

Don't use the end of the cutting tool to align it! You can take a piece of round stock that fits on your toolholder, then fit a scrap bearing (turn the end down if needed) on one end and you have a nice truing tool for the lathe.

Hi! As always your videos and channel is incredible. I just have one question. The conection between the splindles Assy (where the wheel is mounted) that you fabricated at the beginning and the splindle axle is only made by friction of the inner and outer bearings with the spindle axle? I mean i understand the wheel is conected to the spindle assy but the conection with the axle is just by friction so the wheels might slip while running, am i wrong?
